Evolution of human beings is a subject that has been under constant debate. There is always some contention about how primates and humans later divided into early apes and hominids despite the fact that they originated from a mutual ancestor. A section disapproves the oldest and most famous theory that explains the spit of humankind and the apes and perceive it to be wrong. However, what is peculiar is that the same individuals who have disapproved the widely known theory have come up with other theories with the same extent of controversy and that cannot be proved scientifically through experiments. The perception of creationism and evolution is still making attempts to prove and answer the most divisive and challenging question of all time on earth. Both sides display different ideas, facts, explanations as well as in-depth analysis for their relevant philosophical point of view.

The debate conducted in North Kentucky in the Legacy Hall of the Creation Museum and regulated by CNN's Tom Foreman. The arguments were presented by Bill Nye who postulated the relevance of the evolution theory in the origin of humanity. On the other hand, Ken Ham made a convincing argument on the theory of creation which illustrates the earth from its very beginning. Different educationist supports both cases, believers and scientists in the world and thus developing a piece of convincing evidence is based on careful analysis of each proposition and its weight in explaining the origin of man and the earth. In essence, the arguments are centred on the "Old earth" and the "new earth" and the subsequent baking from the science and Bible. Thus, the question for the debate "Is creation a viable model of origin in today's modern scientific era?" (DEBATE: Creationism vs. Evolution: Ken Ham vs. Bill Nye, 2016).

Credibility Analysis

Bill Nye is introduced as a scientist, author, speaker and comedian. He is also known as the Science guy due to his various productions on kids' science and other projects. He has authored different books such as Bill Nye's Book of Tiny Germs, and he has won Emmy awards. He often speaks about various scientific topics, and he is part of the Planetary Society. He possesses a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (DEBATE: Creationism vs. Evolution: Ken Ham Vs Bill Nye, 2016). Despite his constant interest in scientific topics, Bill's background doesn't reflect extensive knowledge on evolution and the science of human origins, and thus his credibility is questionable. However, the presentation of various propositions for this debate is based on his trustworthiness across myriads of followers who believe in his scientific prowess. Bill's performance is awfully confident and comically inclined, and this subsides the serious nature of the conversation. He personifies the debate and history to his bow-tie story. In the course of the discussion, my perceptions about Bill credibility were swayed at the first appearance, since he was dressed like a performer who didn't treat the debate with the seriousness it deserved.

On the other hand, Ken Ham is presented a serious individual and staunch believer of the Bible and the Book of Genesis. He founded the Answers in Genesis website which seeks to explain the biblical story of creation. He has participated in the same debate, and this is an assertion of his credibility. He is a creator of the Creation Museum which is an example of his strong beliefs in this cause and this debate. He is a graduate of Applied Science with an emphasis on environmental biology (DEBATE: Creationism vs. Evolution: Ken Ham vs. Bill Nye, 2016). Creation of man sees God as the center of all invention, according to the orthodox belief. The conservative believes that men were made in the likeness of God.

The sole creator of human beings is God, with the first man and woman being a product of Gods power (Gen 1:27). Both male and female beings were created in the image and likeness of God (Gen 1:26). The sole purpose of our creation is to glorify our heavenly father and to give him glory. Sin came to be first in Angels before human beings (Gen 3:1). Adam and Eve were the pioneers of crime in the human race (Tim 2:13-14). Ken Ham believes that because God created all life on Earth, nothing has changed yet.

In most cases, believers have faith that the world is individually designed and created by God's command. Through God, all things are made, and without him, nothing that is in this world would be here (John 1-3). God made all things on this earth (Ephesians 3:9).

Ham appearance asserts his credibility as a serious individual. He presents himself as a realist who seeks to understand the world from the creationists and scientists' point of view. He appears confident and uses his dynamic approach to religions and science to attract the audience's attention and understanding. Ham's argument is impressive and inclusive, and this changes my perception of the debate and in essence, the first time opening case has me pick sides. Ken Ham believes that God is and will remain to be the ultimate source of creation. Human beings are challenging and unique creatures that possess immaterial and material creatures. God values and redeems his people both physical part of us and immaterial which is made up of our spiritual nature.

Evidence Evaluation

Bill Nye states that the theory of evolution is a viable explanation for origins. The argument says that the universe is 13.8billion years old and the solar systems are estimated to be 4.5 billion years of old. Common knowledge supports the idea of evolution given the different scientific explanations and records of the historical discoveries on plant and animal life. Bill's commentary on the evolution and past findings fail to capture the layman understanding of evolution (Corhan, 2014). The process of ascertaining the age of fossils and plant life is complicated and often based on estimations. In essence, the theory of evolution is based on scientific generalisations and assumptions. Experts in the field of geology, biology, cosmology support the theory of evolution as a viable explanation to a multiplicity of plant and animal life on earth.

On the other hand, Ken Ham presents a solid argument on creationists by introducing a proper introduction of terms. The creation theory explains origins through the integration of historical and empirical scientific facts. The earth and humanity is a product of creation, which is six days for the entire universe, solar systems, human beings and animals. The creation theory is common knowledge for most believers in the world; this means that most religious groups refer to the creation story to validate their existence (Tyler, 2014). Ham's utilises different methods of appeal to draw the audience to his opinion. He uses layman reasoning to question the origin of man. The question fit for this argument is, "what or who was there before the scientists?" and this means that there was an ultimate authority before man. This means that God is integral to the creation and the source of ultimate power. Expert opinion asserts that science has its origins in the creation and it explains the Kind which is the different families of animal and plant creations.

Moreover, Ken Ham's argument is based on biblical quotations which are empirically supported by evidence (Boyle, 2014). For example, scientists have confirmed that humanity has a single origin and this traces back to Adam and Eve. Thus, Hams argument is universal and testable to both the scientists and creationists, and this creates a consensus in the different studies. There is no explanation of the roots of bipedalism. The combination of the ideas in every theory that perhaps perceived to be not viable may be of help in explaining the origin of bipedal locomotion. The uninformed state of humans on the anatomy of early humanoids is a major setback in finding out the locomotion origin. Environmental changes or socialism brought by dietary adequacy can perhaps be very simple ways of explaining the origin of bipedalism in locomotion.
