The management development program's primary aim is to enhance the performance of the workers and managerial skills in an organization (Huda et al., 2020). Through improving and learning more skills, the managers can motivate their colleagues hence enabling them in the management of their various teams in an effective manner (Huda et al., 2020). The significance of the management development program to a company is it helps in it the useful application of various techniques during the selection of different job positions in the institution (Solomon, 2020). Consequently, management development program puts more focus on the goals and objectives of an organization to achieve them quickly.
The first level of the supervisors are workers that communicate directly to the workers, and for that reason, they need to handle the workers at the work area directly (Huda et al., 2020). To accomplish this, they need to have additional managerial skills, experience, and knowledge that will enable them to excel in their performance and also in the coordination of the employees' works (Solomon, 2020). Due to this, the management development program is essential for the supervisors on the first level in an electric utility organization.
The expansion of the executive development program is as follows: the first step is the analysis of the abilities, educational background, skills, and knowledge of the supervisors. It is essential because it enables the management to know if they are competent and qualified for the position of a supervisor (Huda et al., 2020).
Secondly, they conduct the periodic supervision training that is as a result of the knowledge up-gradation. The third one is to prove the feedback to the workers' supervisors for them to enhance their performance. Through this, they show to the management team that they can do their work effectively and efficiently. Also, they may be required to enroll in the course that will enhance their managerial and leadership skills.
However, it does not just happen quickly, for there are certain qualities that the supervisors need to possess (Solomon, 2020). The first one is that they need to have at least five years of experience in the electrical field (Huda et al., 2020). It is essential because it assures the managerial team that they can handle the work and the challenges that may occur effortlessly (Solomon, 2020).
The other requirement they need to have is excellent communication skills; it is essential because it enhances the relationship in the organization hence improving the workforce that enhances the growth of the organization. The final qualification the supervisor needs to have is the skill of managing time appropriately through this, and the organization will move at a good pace.
My managerial development program design is better as compared to the others because it is effective and efficient. It is practical and useful because it analyses all the necessary skills and knowledge of the supervisors and relates it to the work description of the supervisors on the first level (Huda et al., 2020). The practical and efficient training program's primary purpose is in the enhancement of the supervisors' skills.
Conclusion
In conclusion, it is no doubt that a managerial development program is essential to any organization. It is because the administrative team is the most significant section in any company, and if it does not perform well, the entire organization fails. As a result of this, each organization should create a managerial development program once in a while to enhance the supervisors' skills and knowledge.
