Introduction

The Electoral College is known to be a process that determines the future of the country through the establishment of a ruining President position in the government. The President's vote can be determined through the Congress and also through a ballot of a qualified citizen. In the Electoral College system, different departments consist of the section of the elector, where the President and Vice President are voted, and Congress can do the electoral votes. There are 538 electors in the Electoral College in a country, and 270 electoral votes are required to elect the President (Sun et al., 1362). The number of the states are the same in electors as in the Congressional delegation. The number of electors is classified in a group where each candidate running for an official docket is classified. The political parties in their states choose the candidates. However, the state's laws depend on the elector's selection method.

During the general election, each candidate running for President has their groups, which are known as electors. The political party of each state selects the candidates in their political parties. The elections are held every four years. The winner takes it all system is used where the electors of a Presidential candidate wins the popular votes docket (Nallathambi, 2017). After the elections are done, all the candidates in the state are awarded by the certificate of Ascertainment through the listing. The Certificate of Ascertainment is used in showing the number of votes attained in a particular election and which candidate won in a specific state. The state certificate of Ascertainment will then be sent to NARA, where an official record of the Presidential election will be recorded (Sun et al., 1368). The votes of each state are then counted in a separate ballot, which represents the Presidential and vice president tally.

Should the United States Use Electoral College

The electoral college provides equality to all races in the United States, which is the right process in the attainment of racial Justice in America. However, in the United States, the minorities tend to live in a larger city in a more significant state; their votes are also essential in changing the electoral votes in their states. The electoral college provides transparency and accountability on the counting of all the votes casts in the states and countries (Seidman,3). In cases of fraud, it is easier for all the rules to be notified, and the whole process will be stopped. The candidates elected in each country will be in a free and transparent manner. On the other hand, accessible voting will encourage various countries to change their style of voting to increase their voting influence nationwide. For instance, some states may lower the voting ages to 17 or 16 to change the state's political power during voting (Seidman,3).

The electoral college system also prevents a regional candidate from winning in an election. In this system, a candidate should be in a position to convince the whole country to vote for him or her instead to win a particular area. After the elections are done, there can never be a rerun, since the congress will determine the number of electors in a specific state. Electoral college also makes it easier for choosing a particular presidential candidate since, in the United States, this is because there is a vast number of voters in the United States that may be hard to count during the election.
