Introduction
The US and Canada have enjoyed a progressive relation as neighbors. People from both countries can cross the borders with much ease and stay for a short while as stipulated by the laws. Over the past years, the Canadians living in the US has declined due to the dynamics of the immigration policies between the two countries. Some Canadians get married to Americans and move while others find new job opportunities or due to the bigger economy so as to enhance their businesses. The US has multiple career opportunities for highly skilled Canadians professionals. Besides making more funds, it is also fulfilling to work in a highly competitive economic superpower like America. Canada has world-class universities; however, some prefer to study in America.
I have gained great insight into living in America and have loved staying in a diverse community which offers an opportunity for growth. The cultural differences have made me embrace the importance of working and understanding different backgrounds which cause promotes diversity in ideologies. I have come to realize that Canadians share a common kindness which is also common in America but not as much as back in Canada. Canadians have established a culture of spreading love and compassion among the diverse communities. This aura of kindness has built a political culture which does inhibit discrimination and intimidation.
Historically, America has demonstrated strict policies and regulatory frameworks which intimidate some foreigners. Trump has been entirely discrete about deportation especially to the illegal immigrants from Asian countries which have caused panic across the country (Armenta 82). I have had to take some time to console some friends who were worried of deportation since they thought they were in the country illegally. When the two societies are compared, one can be quick to posit that Canada is a place with decent individuals who uphold dignity, human rights, and tolerance compared to America. America has also announced in the recent past that they would impose tariffs on the aluminum and steel which are imported from Canada which is a controversial issue for the policymakers and also a complex threat to business between the two countries (Marche). The two leaders of both countries have shown distrust during this time which might be hard to bear and may also be detrimental in the long run.
When asked about Canada's living status as well as the job markets by my American friends, I usually find the pleasure to highlight the details and how it is extensively expanding just like the way America is growing to accommodate new talents and promote innovation and viability. My fellow Canadians in America do not consider returning so quickly until their stay is overdue since they consider living the American Dream. I believe one should perpetually remain steadfast in developing the society and focus on adding value to foreign countries which in turn enables a sustainable element that America offers.
Conclusion
Summarily, I don't hold a lousy view of America in general, but I believe every country faces various problems because of the diversities, distinct socioeconomic and political needs. Regardless of issues such as stringent policy frameworks, discrimination among others, living in America is a real American dream, and it is fulfilling to pursue a career in the competitive economy. Americans just like the Canadians, are valuable individuals who tremendously contribute to the growth of the economy in different capacities.
