Civilization relates the term civitas, which means the city. It is a transformation from the nomadic or old rural ways of life to urban state society. Sometimes it can refer to human society that has attained a certain degree of complexity. More so, it can be looked at as to describe a community with a high level of technological development.

Let me take you back to the fifteenth century when the Europeans got in Africa under the navigation skill of Portuguese named Henry the Navigator. In the 15th century, Africa was one of the best continents all over the world. The continent was rich in medication, there were moral and values, there were natural minerals, and the people were very united. Since the Europeans entry in Africa, the continent's natural way of living begun to crumble.

Before the 15th Centuries, African countries lived in harmony. They got their food from hunting and gathering, and they would share food among themselves. Apart from wild fruits, they grew a few crops. The land was owned communally such that, if one area got exhausted from farming, one community would migrate to another fertile area and settle without any fights. Africans would use herbs to treat themselves, and it worked well on them. Before the entry of Europeans in Africa, the Africans believed in supernatural power, and they usually offered sacrifices to that power. In return, the supernatural powers would protect them and gifts them things like rain and sun.

When European got Africa, they introduced the Bible and Education to the Africans as a form of civilization. Africans had their way of life before the Europeans got into their land. They owned land communally, but the European divided them through boundaries. They used herbs, which were perfect for them; the Europeans introduced drugs that have been used by Africans to commit suicide. African believed in a sole superpower, but since the bible was presented, Africans have been divided along with religious groups. African countries had no debts before independence, but currently, African countries are running under external debts. Africans people had their unique technique of communication, but since the introduction of the new technology, Africans dropped their ways. Civilization has just brainwashed Africans to adopt the European way of thinking.

Currently, African countries are still under western destruction in the form of civilization. Western countries are using new technic to the advantage of Africa. For instance, the U.S. government killed Mohamed Gaddafi, who was an African most powerful and influential leader. Ghaddafi was working to form a united Africa, and he wanted Africans to be united like it was before. Civilization is not helping Africans nations; neither is it helping the world. Who knows, if it were not for Europeans, Africa would still be the best place to live on this earth. There would be no disease, such as cancer, which has claimed many lives in Africa. The continent would still have a beautiful natural environment free from industries that have destroyed nature and caused global warming.

The world is under threat of global warming that results from the rising number of industries. As the world population grows, civilization progress is diversifying to meet the increasing human demands. As the human population grows their requirements are rising too, but supplies remain constant. Civilization has transformed Africa tremendously; not only does its impacts apply in Africa but also all over the world. It is seen as the perfect way of living but takes a moment and thinks the other way around. Think of civilization as a form of destruction. As time goes, civilization will be the end of the human race.
