Youth violence is one of the acts by the young adults that are against the laws of the land, and by virtual morality, they torture or disrespects human rights. Generally, youth violence projects, psychological torture, and physical bullying. Peer influence and loses of hope have been a trebling area that leads youths in the engagement of themselves in the violation of the laws. Besides, Unemployment is also one of the core sources of youth violence as the majority try to fit in the economy of the world without readily available capital to execute their ideological plans. Gang violence has been rampant among young adults, and therefore, there are various reasons why they join it (Densley, 2018). In particular, the paper will discuss some of the outcomes and causes that lead to the joining of the gangs.
From different communities that live below poverty levels, youth tend to face hard challenges in economic and social life, whereby most of them end up engaging themselves in such kinds of behavior that are not appropriate in society settings (Dunbar, 2017). The economic constraints pressurize individuals in developing dubious strategies in sustaining their financial state. For that reason, most youths find themselves trying to fit in the world by joining gangs.
Similarly, youth join a gang for protection as well as a result of peer influence. Most youths find it interesting to join a band, and they refer it as having fun alongside taking control over the others. Therefore, friends who have not yet joined the gang tend to face a powerful influence to create anxiety in being a member. Generally, it is from that influence that they are able to manipulate each other in committing crimes within the societies and war as well. To some extent, the gang develops to the terrorist group, thus inducing high membership registration that is later recruited for wars.
Another factor that manipulates the engagement of the youths in the gang includes the environment that children grow in. In most cases, communities that are exposed to the bands and domestic violence, as well as wars, often influences its youth to build thin anxiety of joining the gangs. The main reason why they develop in the curiosity or with the aim to attain membership of the criminal groups is to protect themselves from the violence that is suffered by non-members (Jennings & Gonzalez, 2016). Secondly, it is always safe for them, and it helps them develop a sense of belonging on which they act loyal to. The sense of belonging creates acceptance by close friends who are already in the group, and therefore it becomes easy to manipulate youths in joining the gangs around.
Regarding sexuality and the romance that is influenced in the gangs, most youths find it worth to join the group and have themselves engaged to their potential partners. Occasionally, most teens are excited about the easy way of attaining their sexual partners. Therefore through the anxiety of sexual acts, they end up joining the gang to satisfy their sexual curiosity (Dunbar, 2017). The factor hence influences young people to attain some of the luxuries and sexual satisfaction.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the violence and criminal attempts that most youths are engaged, are usually driven by the sense of the material gain, fear of threat, sense of belonging, peer influence as well as respect gain. It is, therefore, evident that it is not out of their will that they find themselves joining the gangs, but there are usually some external forces or factors that stipulate the process. Despite the repercussions that await them, the influence it is always so strong to bear, and thus in most cases, the youths become vulnerable in joining the gangs. Consequently, some of the youth suffer from financial constraints hence end up joining the gangs. They cause trouble and robe as well as accomplish missions paid by the antagonizing parties.
