In salvaging a troubled project, the fact-finding should be done to dig into the problems identified in the email developed from project planning, determining the project scope, platform design, platform development then testing and deployment (Siebel et al., 2017). Understand the challenges faced, quantify the problems to ascertain that the project is recoverable. The continued and sustained pattern of failure to meet the client’s needs is a clear indication that the project is in trouble and this should spur the team to initiate the process of factual findings to unearth the challenges. Communication is a crucial component of project recovery. For instance, the goals of the project should be clearly stated to avert a team from undertaking a project without a clear picture of the purposes of the plan (Sun et al., 2017). A quick scan of the project is an initial step just before the recovery process commences. The quick scan enables the recovery manager to have an overview of the challenges and possible approaches to recover the troubled project.
Different approaches can be deployed in sensing and handling trouble. First, it would be essential to run the email platform by sending emails and monitoring the challenges at each phase. These challenges should be recorded and a clear framework designed on how to tackle and rectify the problem (Majchrzak et al., 2018). The project manager should then identify constraints needed in correcting the issues in the email platform like the amount of time available, the resources and the human resources required to execute the project put in place. Another approach could be developing the platform to the fullest before doing various tests to determine workability. Serious issues can arise, resulting in time wastage and misuse of resources (Siebel et al., 2017). In developing the email platform, the agile approach is the most appropriate way to go about the project.
Conclusion
This method is highly cooperative and more efficient in website delivery (Sun et al., 2017). The challenges are subdivided into different phases to enable each group to concentrate and report once the troubles identified in each specific area is rectified. The approach makes the quality of work delivered to the customer the highest priority thus it would be the best approach in providing a well-designed email platform to the company as most weaknesses in developing email platforms is always in phases, e.g. Reading email, the format of the document sent and in devices used in accessing the email.
