Therefore, just as the personal expression cannot be communally influenceable, so cannot be the moral choices hence the variation of ethical consent from one individual to the other. The emphasis and the basis of this argument are charging the individual mind that makes independent choices with the moral responsibility that it undertakes.

Often, individual behavior shapes around various surrounding factors such as the social environment, the financial status, and even the emotional status of an individual. Therefore, just as character influences and directs the behavior and decisions of an individual, the characters do not develop from within but rather are influenced by the extrinsic factors. The society within which an individual promotes can determine the behavior hence the moral consent that centers within the individual. Indeed, people behave differently, but that claim can only be justified by a comparison of the behaviors of individuals from various social contexts because people within the same social context who have a mutual relationship tend to behave in a similar predictable manner as the conduct comes as an influence.

Subsequently, morality is likely to be determined by the social context which shapes the behavior of an individual. The role that the surrounding of an individual plays in shaping the different practices and choices has a direct impact on the level of morality that determines within that particular person. Morality can thus be considered as a copied trait that develops as a result of the surrounding influence rather than individual choice. Generally, a child who is brought up in a social context where there are high moral standards and upward mobility is likely to adapt to the surrounding by embracing good morals. Conversely, a child who grows up in a society which is facing moral decay is not expected to have a range of choices than to fall a victim of influence from the surrounding. Therefore, the fact that morality varies from one individual to another implies the various surrounding conditions that different shapes the individual moral standards but not dependently on the personal decision.

Generally, the premise that morality is likely to be determined by the individual since it varies from one individual to another is false. Most people are unfortunate and become victims of the influence of the surrounding conditions. The neighboring economic states are likely to shape the financial morals of an individual to fit in and adapt to the prevailing conditions. Similarly, the social surrounding and the emotions surrounding also withhold significantly unto the morality of an individual.
