Since my childhood, I had always loved travelling, I have always been fond of nature and seeing new places always inspire me. At the age of twenty-six, I had travelled across different states in the United States, Europe, Atlantic nations, and Canada. I also looked forward to travelling across the Caribbean countries and visit Mexico. I even dreamt of travelling across the whole world some days, a dream that I hope will come true in future. My father who was a renowned businessman, died when I was little and being the only child I inherited his businesses and money when I turned the age of 18 years. With the money I had inherited from my dad, I had enough money to further my education and travel around the world.
On that particular day, I remember I woke up at the crack of dawn eager to start the adventurous day, with my friends. My friends and I had planned to travel to different places during the summer, and since money was not a problem to me, I could do anything I wished and travel to places I have ever dreamt of setting my foot. Our first destination was Kenya in Africa. After our long journey from the United States to Kenya in Africa, we were happy and excited at the same time to see the sunrise on the grate and wonderful land of Kenya. I had always heard of the welcoming nature and generosity of the people of Kenya and the great places and different animals the county had, therefore, I was excited and looking forward to experiencing all these myself.
On arrival at the Kenyan Airport, we were welcomed with their cultural dances and music in which we liked although we did not know much about their culture. Since we were tired, we decided to book a hotel room so we could take a nap. Ever since I arrived at the airport, the people I interacted with were asking for tips on almost everything they did for us like carrying our luggage which I gladly did since due to my excitement. What thrilled my friends and I was the hotel we were booked in, were taken to a hotel known as "Maasai Mara" which we were told it was named after a specific tribe. On our way to the hotel, we could see different animals and enjoyed the cool breezed and environments. On arrival at our rooms, we could watch the animals through the window. After a while, we were served with very delicious meals as we were being entertained with their music and dances. We were terrified and worried about how we would catch our sleep without getting attacked by these creatures. However, our exhilaration for seeing the animals and eagerness to visit the different places and seeing the creatures we had heard of about the country conquered our fear.
The next morning we were woken up by the melodies of the bird's signing from the outside through the windows. After the enjoyable breakfast, we asked the hotel staff to arrange for a van that would take us to different destinations that we were eagerly waiting to see such as Lake Nakuru where we saw the flamingoes, and Amboseli National Park and Tsavo National Park where we were able to view Mount Kilimanjaro and saw the elephants.
Conclusion
After visiting the different unique, wonderful and beautiful places and the frightening moments we experienced throughout the entire adventure we enjoyed every moment. Since then, Kenya became the most favorite place that I had ever visited, and I hope to go back there in future. The people there are so welcoming and generous, and I made some friends. Since then, I learnt that we should not judge people based on other people's mistakes or shortcomings. We had thought of Kenyan people as people who like to be given based on the person who asked us for tips after carrying our luggage at the airport. The adventure has since been the most memorable moments of my life.
