The strategies inherent in the implementation of RL are Facilities, Proper handling, Ease of Access and Information usage.

Facilities

It is the location where returned items by clients are stored for reuse and remanufacturing. I will ensure that I create a large enough facility to accommodate as many items and t ensure that they are properly stored (Tyagi et al., 2012). I will ensure that sanitation of the facilities and to ensure that all sorts of vermin are locked out or constantly fumigated to avoid further destruction in the facility.

Proper Handling

Handling is critical part f RL. I will have to employ professionals and equipment that will ensure there are no further damages to the facilities. The small items will be segregated together while perishable goods will be containerized to ensure that they are safe (Hu, 2011). I will also hire a collector who understands the nature of items and can handle them effectively.

Ease of Access

The point of collection or the facility must be easy to access for the clients. I suggest the creation of centers where customers can walk in easily and drop the items. Logistics is about transportation and as such, I must place the center accessible (Tyagi et al., 2012).

Information Usage

I will use social media and other information outlets to ensure that the customer has efficient information regarding the returns of items and also to ensure that the information on environmental protection and need for re-usage is shared with customers to avoid littering the environment (Hu, 2011).

Question 2

The RL runs on a system contrary to the forward only system that is synonymous with logistics. The facility system layout is dependent on the overall cost. The OEM network in the facility concept must be configured to ensure that the items collected are solely meant for reuse, remanufacturing, and remodeling (Tyagi et al., 2012). If the system cost from the OEM's is too high, then the entire RL will be sure to fail.
