Introduction
A leadership position corresponds to a load of work in any organization, although it sounds quite promising. In preparation for an interview for such a place in any organization requires a great deal of consideration. For instance, one ought to consider the organization and the type of products or services it offers. The reason behind this careful consideration is that the leadership position requires quite an informed individual in whom the subordinate (Powell, 2004). Other questions which one might pose to him or herself is whether he/she enjoys and has the talent to fulfill what the organization requires. In this paper, we shall discuss the basic proposal of an interview arrangement with an organization in the leadership position. We shall also explain how the job is tied to my leadership purpose.
Organization selection and people to be met
The organization selected for the interview was the health department of Bakersfield, Ca. One of the considerations I made is the proximity of the organization to my residential place. Additionally, the organization has produced many great leaders in society who are political leaders with dignity. The implication is that the company offers a chance for one to lead and also nurture one's leadership talents as well as learn from other leaders in the process. The person from the executive department I will be meeting in the interview is Linda Leed. She is quite a distinguished lady from the management team who has been in the organization for quite a long time.
Questions to ask during the interview
Among the questions I will ask in the interview is how often the leaders meet with the subordinate. Additionally, I will ask the steps taken to create cohesion between leaders who disagree at one point. The purpose of requesting this sort of question is because, in a workplace, people tend to be different from one another; thus, disagreeing among colleagues is quite common. However, the goal of the organization is more significant than any one individual, and therefore coming together to achieve it creates a win-win situation for everyone. I will ask if the job is to be conducted in the office or the field and maybe both. Besides, one gets a chance to motivate the employees as they get along their duties, and thus the production is maximized, making the organization achieve its best.
I would also ask my immediate subordinate with whom I will be relying upon to get information from the production floor. The information about the employee will aid in the process of delegating tasks to the subordinates. Finally, I would ask the steps taken to organize tasks and projects in the organization and whether the deadline is issued (Fulop, 2012).
Future leadership in a managerial position
As a leader in the administrative position, I aspire to motivate others and help them nurture their talents, especially in the leadership position. Additionally, as a leader, I want to make the organization the best in terms of performance.
