Give an example of an obligation you feel you are under and what the limits of that obligation are; that is under what condition is that obligation no longer in effect.
At home, I have three pet cats. All the cats are still young and cannot hunt for food on their own, but in case they do so, I may end up losing one or all of them. At some moments, the cats sneak out and meet the angry dog, Vinny. Vinny is fond of scaring away younger pets like cats. It is, therefore, my obligation to ensure all my three cats are adequately fed every day and that they are secured from the angry dog Vinny. In case it is unable to give them food, it is my obligation could be to give them away to the neighbors who can take good care of them. Again in case personal commitments at school may hinder me from feeding them, I must buy them an auto feeder. However, my obligation of taking good care of the three cats is limited by time, availability of money to purchase the food, and the inability to confine them in a room.
Give an example of a factual Issue/ matter, then give competing claims about that issue/matter for this issue/matter state conditions that could decide the matter one way or the other.
In case the cat sneaks to the orchard, it is factual to report that the cat is on the farm. Therefore such is referred to as a genuine issue. However, the neighbor may pose a competing claim that the cat is not in the orchard. These two statements are factual and competing demands, respectively. This is because the cat is either on the farm or not.
Give an example of normative issue /matter again give competing claims about that issue/matter
In my case of cat ownership, a person may argue that it is not reasonable to own a cat because it is hard to handle them. On the other hand, another person with a competing claim may argue that it is reasonable to own a cat as a pet just for companionship. These matters are normative and competing allegations, respectively.
Give an example of a distributional pattern that you have noticed (it can be from your own life or from the things you've read or heard) make sure in giving an example, you show how it is both a definite pattern and how it is distributional.
In my daily encounters, I have noticed that most of the 30 years older women have more wrinkles in their skins than the 20 years mature women. However, I have also witnessed that there are some 30 years old women have less wrinkled than 20 years old. Such kind of distributional and definite pattern I have been able to see across the places I visit.
A young chef needs to add exactly 2 liters of cream to the pot. However, she only has two pitchers: one that holds 5 liters, and one holds 8 liters. She has no other means of measuring liquid. How can she use just these two pitchers to measure out the 2 liters she needs?
To ensure that he only uses the two pitchers to measure exactly 2 liters of cream she needs, the young chef could fill the 5litre pitcher with the cream and pour it into the pot then do that again so that the content of the container is 10litres. She can then use the 8-liter pitcher to draw the cream from the container. The resultant capacity of the pot will be the two liters that was initially required.
