Introduction
My security department deals with criminal custody, supervising, and rehabilitation process the institution based correction services aim to action approaches that help curb and deal with criminals. The current issue at hand has to include strategies that are dimensional and not predictable. Although there is no new applicable tact, the available tactics have to be utilized confidentially. In curbing the long-lasting disturbance gang, my department has to use contemporary methods of punishment, custodial care, and role probation measures. Following the chief security request, the department will follow the detectives through sociological and lawful performance.
Traditional and Practical Approaches Used
Our security institution approaches criminals and especially in case of gang criminals, through a sociological impact influence. For the department I lead, department, the jails, and the prisons are kept practices in learning and updating our system with trends in criminology, tactics, channeling, and methods of operation by the gang. We still use the jails and prisons as a toll due to the secure management of movement, curbing communication, and forcing the convicted to give it the information they got. In gag control, the imprisonment of these members is not less than one year, and bails are set within unaffordable ranges (Raymond et al., 2014). Our jails are secretive and away from the gang's operation centers to avoid easy leakage of the security information attained from these members (American Psychiatric Association. 2015). These kinds of criminals are secluded from other criminals. There is an application of the traditional method by the Wy police officers who pursued the criminals. The key leaders are first aimed at, but in the process, any minority member can be arrested. The police officers strategize collaboratively, and the strategies are confidential.
In practice, the security sector employs undercover police who get intact with the gang members or criminal base and identify their plans, practice, and aims. By this, the undercover police officers are only known to the chief of the department. For the jail case, an undercover officer will be taken to jail as a criminal where they learn more and attain facts about plans (Zamble, & Porporino, 2013). Otherwise confidential officers are indulged in illegal businesses that criminals are attracted to. Another traditional practice is the engagement of private security squad in the facing of gangs due to public securities lacking the best weapons to face the heavily armed criminals (American Psychiatric Association, 2015).
Why there is Reluctance for Change in Operation
For the case scenario presented, it is evident that a change of the traditional methodologies of security practice is not any close to change due to the lack of unity among departments of security- the strategies required for change are diverse and requires the engagement of all the departments. Still, some are defiant (Raymond et al., 2014). A virtual security system, the fight against the VBC is base only in the police department; other judicial and social sectors are not contributing to the criminal justice system (Zamble, & Porporino, 2013). For the experience with cases filed against the VBC, there have been issues stronger than the allegations; bonds are set at a level that is manageable for the VBC leader to give out within short time rages. The tendency of watering down the VCBC gang is dismissed due to the lack of enough plea to the mendacious practice by the prosecution. Another reason is the uncertainty of the order where the possibility of shutting the VBC up is bit assured, and fear of vengeance may get into the head of departments and lead them to draw off the fight. In the security department, some traitors also help the practices of the VBC like sneaking cell phone sand drugs in jail.
Motivation towards Change
First, there should be a fight against the drugs and weapons smuggled by the VBC gang. The officers have to be motivated through better payments s and avoid the risk of betrayal of oath for monetary gain. There is also the need to train detectives and equip them properly with the best detector weapons; their security assurance is a motivation point. In this token, the virtual police department has to get their act in a collaborative strategy to change the perspective of some of them who relate to the VBC fight as a losing battle (Zamble, & Porporino, 2013). The jurisdiction system can be changed from a higher authority to conceal and intellect staffing to curb the department's VBC president's operation.
Conclusion
Moreover, improving the collaboration between the officers and the community, which is a source of information, will secure better and timely encounter methods to the VBC fight (Raymond et al., 2014). Lastly, the departmental leadership should be reshuffled and a clear research dome to the departments' proceedings regarding the coverage of the VBC previous cases. The police officers can also be put in motive transfers, especially those working at prisons and jails (American Psychiatric Association, 2015). This step will help minimize the depth interactions between the police and the VBC criminals.
