Legal laws are rules of conduct developed by the federal state, local legislatures, state governors, judges, and sometimes administrative agencies or societies in a given territory. The development and execution of law always follow specific customs and practices to be applied in the situation of crime, to deal with social relations, businesses, in finance among other areas. Frequently, the law is always regulated and administered by the contemporary controlling authority (Marochkin, 2019). All laws and regulations should always be applied equally and fairly to everyone. However, real-life application of law can sometimes be very exigent due to a high level of economic, political, and other influential factors during decision making that ultimately affects the fair application of the law in our day to day lives.

Laws, policies, and regulations have major impacts on our day to day life, from corporate operations to intellectual property, and from consumer protection to criminal justice. Laws are manmade and are constantly subjected to change over time to ensure that they accommodate the needs of the society at a particular period (Eom, 2020). Legislatures are obliged to law formulation while the court interprets these laws to establish whether they are constitutional and through procedural process establish who is right and wrong.

Most of the existing civil laws often traverse every single facet of life: family, shelter, work, finance, and many more. Frequently, individuals tend to and can sometimes handle their civil issues conveniently on their own (Marochkin, 2019). However, due to insufficient and lack of viable information to use to effectively solve problems, they eventually seek the help of lawyers or other professionals in the legal field. Seeking help from legal professionals such as lawyers may help in equal and fair application of the law without infringing individuals’ rights (Jekic, 2010). In such circumstances, people seek justice and fairness, and to achieve this, constitutional rights to due process demand that the government or administrative agencies take measures fairly when depriving an individual’s liberty, life, or maybe property (Eom, 2020).

I don't fully regard the real-life application of law as fair up to some extent due to the existence of some factors such as political factors, economical, legal, and social factors that affect fair and equal administration of law in our day to day living. The relationship between politics and laws plays a very important role in how some of the laws and regulations will certainly be executed to provide equal rights equitably.

Legislation, as architects of the law, is frequently highly political, and the establishment of administrative is commonly bound into respective political parties. Legislation being one of the exclusive powers of the country, with political influence and power, politicians can formulate and pass laws that serve their political interest. Additionally, political interpretation of laws can sometimes be indented to realize given political goals. Under intensive examination, Law and politics often establish their specific pictures of reality which sometimes overlap and differ. As result, equality and fairness may sometimes not be achieved if these laws are to be applied in real-life situations because some of these laws are just created to realize political goals or personal interest within political institutions.

Economical factors also play a significant role in determining whether laws can be applied in a fair and equal manner in different circumstances. For instance, the elite class who are economically and financially stable will often tend to use their influence and financial power to bribe judges to rule in their favor in situations when they are faced with legal issues. However, those who are not able to influence judges and administrative agencies to rule on their favor because of their low financial and economical status may not infringe on other individuals’ rights. On the other hand, when legislation fails to establish equitable rule of law and a comprehensive social justice system, it frequently leads to the unequal and unfair application of laws in real-life situations. Such existing legal systems often prefer to favor one class of people over the other, thus violating the rights of the unfortunate parties.

Conclusion

Social factors also affect the equality and fairness of law applications in our day to day life. Since it is the structure and composition of our societies which positions individuals and their belonging hierarchically to a given social class and influence, economic and political contributions and their wealth distributions, and their respective resources and reputation, it influences how others access to justice and enjoys their rights. The hierarchical structure of the society often infringes on other people's rights by establishing inequitable application of laws and regulations solely based on the individual's social class and influence.
