The course content has provided tones of undisputed analytical approaches on how to understand leadership better, and how it can improve the performance of the organization. Therefore, the course content provides a better blueprint towards the field of leadership, and how different leadership can be used as a source of governing effectively.

The course content has laid a solid background in understanding how leadership works and how different leadership approaches can be utilized towards developing a competent leader. Through assessing different leadership theories, the content has provided different yet effective approaches that can be used towards building an active leadership career (Lechner et al., 2018). One of the essential theories addressed in the course content is the process of leadership theory.

The content outlines that process leadership is established around transformational leadership, servant leadership theory, social change theory, and rational leadership theory (Lechner et al., 2018). Therefore, the interdependent of the process leadership theory, depicts how different leadership theories can be integrated to form one basic yet effective leadership model.

How Different Leadership Models Work

Every leader should have a strong understanding of what environment one operate in, and what are the possible challenges associated with the type of the environment. Therefore, a leader should choose the right leadership theory to help resolve the current problem, or better the current working condition of the employees. Every leader should take a more robust approach towards the workers' grievances and weigh them with the organization's goals and expectations before giving a conclusive opinion (Avolio et al., 2003). Therefore, the content under the process leadership theory outlines how these leadership approaches can be used to effectively better the performance of the working environment or working conditions of the employees. For instance, the social change model of leadership, like outlines, it infers to the process by which a person or a given group of workforce labor attains a common objective of bettering the quality of life. Therefore, this approach fosters a more robust foundation towards the development of leadership models and a strong background in nurturing leadership.

Transformational Leadership

As an aspiring leader, it is essential to understand the responsibilities that come with transformational leadership. In transformational leadership, it is the responsibility of the leaders to encourage help the subordinates to cease pursuing their interest in the general good of the organization and other groups (Lechner et al., 2018). Therefore, this concept help establishes the real responsibility of a transformational leader and how they should be more persistent and perseverance in ensuring that they effectively convince the subordinates to fully commit their time and energy on the organization's demands (Gumus et al., 2018). Under the transformational leadership, the leader plays a vital role in empowering the subordinates to motivate them towards meeting the goals of the group or the entire organization. Therefore, this concept calls for the fundamental notions of leadership skills towards persuading employees to critically put their efforts towards attaining the objectives of the organization. Consequently, the content offers an essential blueprint on what leaders are expected to deliver under this form of a leadership model for effective performance.

Motivation Theory

The performance of employees will change depending on the motivation level of the leaders. Therefore, the motivational leadership approach seeks to illustrate the driving force that transforms humans' thoughts in a useful behavior, leading to the success of the organization. Therefore, the motivational theory plays a vital role in ensuring that workers are enticed psychologically to work willingly and more actively towards the development of the organization and meeting the goals and objectives of the company (Gumus et al., 2018). The motivation theory utilizes the concept of inspiration in theory as one of the concepts that drive the motivation of workers. Therefore, the motivation of employees within the organization is an exciting feature that every leader should have as a tool for driving change.

Under the motivational leadership, workers may decide to work under intrinsic motivation, which is aroused by the desire of an employee to work towards personal, meaningful objectives. Therefore, it is the collective responsibility of the leaders to provide a conducive environment that will trigger the employee's curiosity in learning more from their employment field of operation (Avolio et al., 2003). Therefore, under motivational leadership, as a form of governing and addressing differences in the organizational performance, all leaders must use motivation as a tool of enacting change in the performance and commitment of employees towards their working environment. In this case, the motivational leadership approach has offered insightful concept not only how leaders should motivate the employees, but the collective responsibility of the leaders in providing a conducive environment that will draw creativity from the employees and commitment (Vito, 2019). Therefore, as an aspiring leader, this could be one of the essential concepts obtained from the course reading to help develop my leadership skills.

Charismatic Leadership

Every leader requires to be more visionary and open to the innovations and changes within the organization. According to the course material, charismatic leadership is one of the most successful and productive types of leadership. Leaders have a big vision and remain to be more visionary to help inspire the employees in their daily activities. Charismatic leadership inspires the creativity and innovation, which strengthens teamwork and coordination of workers in their daily operations (Gumus et al., 2018). Therefore, charismatic leadership provides useful ideas to any aspiring leader in understanding how to motivate workers to become more productive and innovative within the organization.

The concept of charismatic leadership opens the chapter of innovative companies like Amazon, and Apple, which has adopted and pushed forth for this kind of leadership, which encourages creativity and innovation, despite the consequences that may encompass the organization (Vito, 2019). Therefore, using this concept as an approach to foster creativity provides essential concepts, through which leaders should offer support to workers to help bring about the concept of creativity and competence within the organization.

In the bottom line, the concept of leadership goes beyond the basic perception of governing, but rather calling for certain leadership elements. Every leader should understand different concepts and theoretical approaches to include in their leadership style. While every leadership calls for a minimum of one theoretical approach in leadership, it is essential to understand that leadership can take more than one theory, to help provide quality and competent leadership skills that will project the performance of the employees within the organization. Therefore, the course material has offered more than one leadership concept and how they can be interchanged depending on the current situation to help provide effective changes to the workers' output.
