Introduction
Using the interprofessional collaboration strategy in healthcare to solve some of the critical problems facing the healthcare system is significant, and it has gained much attention. The approach is applicable in healthcare as it helps to encourage teamwork and allows all the participants to enjoy positive outcomes. This paper, therefore, summarises an article on enhancement healthcare outcomes using an inter-professional team approach.

The authors in the article describe healthcare strategy to help in improving patient safety in the hospital (Lavelle et, 2017). The approach was intended to solve a problem with the management of emergencies associated with mental health patients in the United Kingdom. The authors affirmed that patient safety and positive outcomes are of paramount consideration (Lavelle et, 2017). Encouraging teamwork among healthcare professionals is vital in achieving patient care objectives. They developed an inter-professional teamwork strategy to improve health outcomes on mental health emergency services and patient safety programs by using In-Situ Simulation technology to train health professionals. The authors identify that interprofessional, In-Situ Simulation approach is one of the most significant approaches to training health professionals to deal with emerging issues in healthcare (Lavelle et al. 2017). In the article, In-Situ Simulation was the technology used to communicate and undertake training sessions among the participants (Lavelle et, 2017). The team conducted inter-personal communication to discuss the progress of the approach. The team leader used In-Situ Simulation as a tool of communication.
The approach involved training inpatient staff members in mental health in meeting the required professional standards. The objective was to ensure that the staff members meet the patient's physical and psychological needs and to develop positive attitudes, confidence, and competence in managing the health deterioration of patients. The program produced significant outcomes for individual professionals and the teams. The participants learned the importance of teamwork and how to practice inter-professional collaboration.
