Researchers argue that same-sex marriage should be considered as a public health issue following the results of a US study. The study indicated that an average of 36,000 people in 18-70 age bracket practising homosexuality less stigmatized and distressed. The less distress was linked to being legally married to the same sex than not being in the same relationship. The homosexuality issue has instead not been accepted in every state as other countries consider it as an offence laying their opposition facts right. Modernity may not be enough reason to take part in homosexual practices. Still, it is a reason that cannot be disregarded where everyone opinion maters and people deserve to practice what best makes them happy. Most arguments that are laid against homosexual relationships lay a finger on the morality of the action how it is generally accepted in the society. In Kantian ethics, he dictates that it is impossible to think of anything at all in the world, or indeed even beyond it, that could be considered good without limitation except goodwill (Wood, 2007). Kant justifies an action only if it fulfils the principle of moral law that originates from the sense of duty. The law overrides all notions despite your desires and intentions and strictly applies to everybody without limits (Jannini et al., 2010). Kant spells out a universalizability principle that demands that for an action to be acceptable, it should apply to people without questioning or any occurrence of possible contradictions in the society.
