Corporate meaning refers to the goals, culture, strategy, and overall impact of an organization at all levels of the community. A leader is the image of an organization, and effective communication is a basic necessity in promoting a business vision (Farmer, Slater, & Wright, 1998). Every business has an image that is made real and also rallies society support through proper communication. Leaders have the responsibility of streamlining relationships with all organization stakeholders, which include the establishment of effective communication channels. Excellent communication promotes better business image and understanding of all the stakeholders which is critical in ensuring that the management pursues the more excellent vision of the organization by incorporating support from all stakeholders (Farmer et al., 1998). Besides, the organization leadership should pioneer on the creation of policies and guidelines that are key in ensuring effective sharing of information within the organization and also for external communication purposes.

Leadership refers to the activity of leading people or employees to achieve specific organization strategy. Effective leadership is central to the success or the failure of an organization. A leader should be good in communication and understanding the employees who are under him. Leaders should be good at communicating the organization strategy and also sharing tasks amongst the employees (Arsovski&Nikezic, 2012). Effective leadership is essential in the success of an organization; effective leadership refers to the ability of a leader to improve the motivation of the employees in meeting the organization standards. Information is an essential tool in the management of an organization and also in the provision of activity instruction (Zulch, 2014). Information management and use can promote organization leadership by promoting sharing information and even issuing a command to employees to carry out different organization tasks. An organization leadership is made by various departments in which the head of departments manage all the processes and coordinate the employees in that specific department to achieve critical organizational goals.

Leadership communication is an instrumental avenue necessary for the success of any business primarily due to its overall impact on the employee engagement to the organization goals. Leadership communication should be both horizontal and vertical to ensure that the leaders can reach all the internal stakeholders of the business. The horizontal communication involves sharing of information between leaders in an organization; for instance, the connection between departmental managers can be regarded as horizontal communication. The overall communication strategy within an organization shows that leadership communication is necessary for all levels of organization communication, which is needed to articulate strategic organizational goals. Proper communication ensures that all the stakeholders within the organization are aware of their roles (Mayfield & Mayfield, 2017). This is instrumental in ensuring that the employees operate under the directive of the leaders, and also they are motivated. Leaders are supposed to be persuasive, which refers to the ability to appeal to the employees and even empathetic, meaning the sensitivity to the employee's needs.

A good leader can be of significant impact to an organization bottom-line if they possess proper active listening skills, which is the ability to listen to others. Pride is a common challenge amongst many leaders which affect the overall perception of the need of others within an organization. Active listening is an art that should be made possible through affirmative nods while listening to employees, making nods, and asking questions for clarification (Luthra & Dahiya, 2015). Feedback is an essential communication tool which involves responding to the employee's queries. In some cases, leaders fail to provide input, which results in the breakdown of the communication process. Another critical competency for the leaders in communication is the ability to discern the emotional cues of the employees and other stakeholders. Emotional intelligence ensures that they can perceive, express, manage and understand self and other people emotional cues (Abbasi, Siddiqi, & Azim, 2011). Lastly, a good leader should be able to solve and arbitrate conflicts using proper negotiation skills, which is vital in promoting harmony within an organization.

Communication is a necessary tool for leadership to achieve its goals. Communication is a pillar that supports all other elements of communication within an organization set up. Good leadership is built upon better organization understanding, which is crucial in preventing internal conflicts. Good leaders can create an environment of trust with other stakeholders who ensure open communication and a positive working environment (Luthra & Dahiya, 2015). The effective leadership communication conceptual framework can be adopted in any organization to facilitate more great team and individual employee engagement with the organization goals.

Effective leadership requires proper communication tools that help leaders to communicate with different stakeholders such as employees, investors, the community, customers, and managers. Therefore, effective leadership cannot exist in the absence of effective communication. Leaders should be able to adapt leadership style to the needs of every group, which is vital in promoting effective leadership communication (Ayub, Manaf, & Hamzah, 2014). Communication as a tool is used to drive collaboration, which is necessary for achieving business success. The initial step towards making effective business communication is the promotion of simplicity and clear communication channels. Clarity ensures that leaders communicate clearly and using established channels, which prevents potential misunderstanding. The second step is the personalization of communication which although it's not every time leaders should make every single person experience direct contact which is more reassuring and in such manner, leaders can acknowledge the employees and increase their engagement to an organization vision (Ayub et al., 2014). The third step is the promotion of transparency, which is vital in building trust, which increases the ability of the business stakeholders to share information. Besides, leaders should practice active listening, which promotes the completion of the communication process ensures that leaders can build relationships with other stakeholders. Another critical step in facilitating the communication process is the provision of feedback, which is vital in verifying information as well as confirmation of messages. Feedback increases leadership accountability and ensures continuity in business communication (Cetin, Karabay, &Efe, 2012). Lastly, leaders should facilitate the evaluation of communication channels to ensure that they are serving the organization goals and meet communication expectations. The assessment provides constant improvement in organization communication channels and processes.

Measuring Communication Effectiveness

Measuring communication effectiveness is essential in facilitating effective communication amongst different organizational stakeholders. One of the most revered approaches of assessing communication effectiveness is the use of surveys which are directly administered targeting specific organization stakeholders and helps to improve the overall stakeholder targeting and to understand their needs. Secondly, the organization can facilitate proper communication by holding stakeholder conferences where they can actively interact and exchange values on how to best improve an organization leadership communication (Macnamara, 2014). The last level is the advanced level, which measures the behavior, opinions, and attitudes of the targeted audience. After measuring the leadership communication effectiveness, it is essential to establish the critical communication gaps and implement changes to promote continuous communication improvement.

Pitfalls to Effective Leadership Communication

Poor organization leadership understanding of an organization audience leads to wrongly designed messages which fail to meet the organization communication needs. Lack of communication needs knowledge and emotional impact of communication results in communication that does not empathize with the stakeholders (Lunenburg, 2010). Besides, lack of clarity is also a significant communication barrier that negatively affects business communication needs. Lastly, business communication that does not evaluate the business needs regularly negatively affect business communication systems effectiveness, which can interfere with the long-term success of the company.

(How the Activity Work): The two communication development activities seek to emphasize the importance of clarity, following instructions, and the impact of communication bias.

In the telephone activity, the participants should be in a circle, and the facilitator whispers a short sentence in the ear of one of the participants who whispers to another participant until the last whispers to the instructor's ears. This method is used to assess the ability to maintain the same message in organization communication.

The second activity can take place simultaneously in which a list of instructions is provided to all the participants with the last direction being to ignore all other instructions. The other activity measures the importance of reading and understanding instructions before responding.
