Introduction
Nothing reflects worse on a hotel than dirty rooms or unclean lobby area. The focus of business in the hotel industry is repeat business, and it would be hard for clients to come back to a place they feel is not clean. Therefore, quality housekeepers would ensure that the rooms and the Hotel is clean, and the guest would always come back. One in this position would have to wash beddings; clean the rooms, replace toiletries, and even clean other areas of the Hotel.

- They should strictly adhere to rules that regulate the aspects of health and safety
Job Brief

- The goal is to develop an orderly and clean environment for the clients that would become a vital factor in the maintenance and strengthening of the hotel's reputation.
- They should also strictly adhere to regulations that relate to safety, health, and beware of any practices that relate to the company.

- Have a high school degree.
Training Objectives
The organization would seek to retrain the new staff and the existing ones to equip them with the crucial skills that can help in delivering the best in their work. The training would focus on the following aspects
Developing organization abilities: the housekeeper should have the ability to work effectively with other colleagues and also advance to different levels.
- Developing proper time management and punctuality among the employees
- Enhancing intuitive problem-solving abilities include momentary decision making. The cleaners engage with clients at a personal level, and they should have the skills that can ensure that they solve problems when they arise.
- Developing skills in handling emergencies
- Developing the skills in the maintenance and repair process
Employees that have these skills would ensure that the clients get the best experience, and they would feel the need to return. The focus of the Hotel is to enhance customer services. The face of the hotels is the employees (Lordkipanidze, 2018). In this case, the housekeepers represent an essential part of the hotels imaging. Therefore, equipping them with the necessary skills would help in achieving an excellent customer experience.
Training Techniques
The most effective training technique that I would prefer to use is the Hands-on training. The experimental approach is more effective since it focuses on ensuring that the employees take part in the active learning process. Several aspects would be included in this training:
Cross-training- to train employees on organizational abilities, the cross-training would be more effective. The advantage of such training is that it does not only focus on the skills set for the given job but allows other responsibilities. The approach ensures that the employees can appreciate what co-workers do and how their roles fit in the new work of others. The benefit of the procedure is that it helps to develop employee's acute organizational abilities.
Demonstrations: the approach is quite practical, especially when teaching the housekeepers to use new equipment or show some steps in the new process. The method is also useful in the delivery of safety skills. The approach is more effective when it combines with questions.
Coaching: coaching is a practical approach to enhance intuitive problem solving and decision-making. Besides, the proposal seeks to improve the employee's performance. The method takes a keen interest in the needs of the employee and is less formal as compared to other forms of training (Lordkipanidze, 2018). The training sessions are not always set. A veteran, manager, or supervisors would take the role of the coach. His/her role is to engage with the employees under training to answer questions, correct errors, suggest effective strategies, guide towards goals a give support and encouragement.
Although the approach might come with some disadvantages such as being expensive, the advantages that it comes with are tremendous. The skills that the employees might get form the training might help to move the organization to be the best in service delivery. With the best to offer to clients chances of returning clients are very high. The hands-on training approaches might thus help in bettering the skills of the employees.
Reflection
Employee engagement is a significant concern for any business. Individuals that are engaged are willing to give their best in the workplace, and that improves performance. Employees that are not involved would slow down productivity. They would most probably be unmotivated and would not effectively deliver their projects in time and thus affect the delivery of services. From the experience that I have had in the previous class, I have learned that HR has a significant role in the motivation of the employees.
HR should understand the various factors that influence engagement. Some of the most outstanding factors in regards to employee motivation include the work culture, organization communication, and managerial styles, leadership respect, and trusts. Besides the company reputation might have a significant bearing on the engagement levels of employees. The role of the HR is to ensure that each of the aspects that affects employee engagement are handled and foster an environment where employees could share their concerns and develop to the well-being of the business.
The HR can foster and develop a culture where there is engagement through the design, measure, and evaluation of workplace practices and policies that are proactive. The focus is to help retain and attract talent with the skill and competencies that are important for the sustainability and growth of the business.
Successful Training and Evaluation
Employee orientation: effective training and evaluation would seek to reduce anxiety and employee turnover. The focus of direction is to ensure that employees understand their roles within the organization and thus reduce stress. Therefore, the key competencies that should be achieved in an employee orientation would include the critical goals of the company, the skills required to deliver in each area, and the vision of the company. With such training, the employees would have less anxiety and are likely to leave the business.
Besides, I have learned that in terms of performance management, the training should focus on developing realistic job expectation, positive attitude, and job satisfaction. The employees must determine what is expected of them and what others expected from them. They should also learn about the values and attitudes of the organization.
Career development: the training design should focus on offering a chance to the employees to advance from one level to the other. The training approach should seek to reward individual that has taken a step to improve their skill with promotion.
Management development: the training process should focus on developing an environment where the management engages with the employees. The administration should not only focus on issuing directive and commands but listening to the employees. A right approach would make managers be the agents of change in the business.
Change management: the training should focus on identifying the best approaches that the organization can take to achieve development. Once these approaches have been identified, the most important focus would be to pass the knowledge to the employees.
There is often a challenge in the passage of knowledge from one level of the organization to the next. However, through training and evaluation, the problems can be identified and effectively mitigated. With these approaches in mind, the business can effectively achieve more success.
