The United States banned slavery importation in 1807. The regulation on the importation of the slaves took effect in the year 1808. Slave trade on the other side depicted for many decades since the law was not that seriously affected. The individuals that were enslaved in the United States continued to be in servitude. The mothers who had bored children in the united states remained to be enslaved due to lack of suitable enforceable restrictions to aid boost on end of enslaving the foreigners. The act for banning the slave trade had huge fines that were up to 20000 dollars. The Americans who participated in the trade were given restrictions basing on the fine of 10000dollars or jail of not more than ten years.
The rules were also imposed on the ships that roamed around the Americas territories with the Africans in them were penalized with the captain imposed to the jail of five years. The American that could be found in possession of a slave was imposed to a fine of 8000 dollars with loose of the slave. The united states navy were allowed to prevent the ships that included themselves in the slavery trade. The laws that were put on the importation of the slaves were strict since they were needed to sign on the transportation of slaves to be legally acceptable. Any voyage before starting on their journey was supposed to be under the rules for it to be legal and thus able to be allowed to go through the American territories. The fines remain to be enormous; thus this made the people involved in the slave trade to be gradually reducing. The jail time and imposition of fines triggered on the people to get discouraged and get off to the business of smuggling on the slaves.
The funding of the ban on slavery was complicated due to the civil war that was taking place. The administration of Jefferson took place with the use of a federal system that involved the different parties having to negotiate on the handling of the issue. The Congress remained adamant since it pumped little funding into the ban of slavery. The law allowed the slaves to be returned to Africa. The goals of the law on the importation of the slaves was to end the importation of the slaves in the African states. President Jefferson and his allies remained to support the law to take its effect and therefore aiding the importation to be slowed down. Jefferson continued to enrich the black people in the American state, and thus, he had no option to kick the Africans in his country. Jefferson continued not to support the use of the excessive money to return the people to their nations. The Africans were supported by Jefferson with the argument on illegally seizing them and bringing them to America, and thus, they had no intention of being freed (Allison, 2011).
The ban on having the costs of returning the Africans to their homelands made the American state to have the slaves. The Americans in this perception remained to have the slaves and therefore had an opportunity to sell the slaves since they remained in their country. The united states made a lot of capital through the selling of the slaves and the fines that were imposed on the seized ships. The people that had information on the people making the trade were given some shares on the money and thus making them benefit. The slaves had no rights because they had been put in the united states, and therefore, they had to be sold. The act of 1857 made the Africans remain to have less power since they were in another nation. The slaves had no option but to be moved from one country to the other as the Southern states sold the slaves that were illegally imported. The southerners, on the other side, remained to have access to the getting of more slaves.
The act at its hand had great disincentives, and heavy penalties imposed to the slave traders, but on the slaves themselves, there was a gain of nothing. It remained peculiar for the slaves to be having not to be traded as they remained in the united states to be slaved this making them have no liberty. The 1807 law had the idea of ending the slave trade, but in reality, it had no legitimacy on the women and men hold. The holding of the women and men in bondage remained to have no legitimacy. Despite, the lack of the legitimacy, the president made a lot of impact on the end of slavery in the united states since he had signed the act into being a law (Allison, 2011).
Abraham Lincoln remained to not support the idea of slavery during his rulings huis family did not own any slave. Lincoln treated slavery as being incompatible with the moral principles that he holds into his leadership. He took it as being a bad and injustice policy of discrimination on the blacks and remained to support both races to work and intermarry together for the existence to be well appreciated and taken into consideration. The abolitionists wanted to end slavery as they assimilated African American society. The system of Lincoln barred the abolitionists form wishing to fight African American societies. In the 1840s, Lincoln depicted that slavery was not supposed to expand since it could be of no profit that could be difficult to control (Kaplan, F. M. 2017). More so, Lincoln, with his lawful rights he presented the slaves with any cases, and he had to win over since had had passion with ending the slavery in the United States in his two terms.
Conclusion
In conclusion, slavery importation took place but had no more effective due to lack of money that could push for its withdrawals. The legitimacy aspect also was another factor that made the women and men not to be freed as per the set act of 1807. But Abraham Lincoln came to liberate on slavery during his term, and this was a great championship for releasing of the Africans in the United States.
