Most dating and married couples often find themselves in relationship problems due to these issues. She broke up with her boyfriend due to the problem and she was at the edge of being dumped by her current partner for the same issue. Elizabeth dating life was a mess due to the sexual nature of the relationship. None of the partners she had dated could satisfy her, she was better satisfied doing masturbation than the actual intercourse. The research conducted by Davidson (1984) proved that among the 512 female students who answered the questionnaires presented, the biggest group was either practicing masturbation or had been practicing and stopped. His study concluded that among the female who were practicing, 70% had numerous sexual partners due to the problem of sexual dissatisfaction. Masturbation can be linked with the mental and physical dissatisfaction. The problem results in frustrations among the couples which often lead to breakups.

Lovers communication is essential to curb this rate. It is evident that sexually dissatisfied people cannot remain in one relationship, which poses a health threat to them. According to Brunham (1997), core group theory explains that the chances of STD contraction among the heterosexual groups due to the change of sexual partners are very high. The risk of contracting the diseases is not limited to one party only. Elizabeth in the case study exposes all her boyfriends to the risk of contracting sexually transmitted diseases due to her problem.

Attachment Theory which is under the category of psychodynamic theories of human sexuality supports the idea of depression and frustrations in sexual relationships due to sexual dissatisfaction. Couple's emotional security and fulfillment of their physical needs contribute to their emotional welfare (Mikulince and Shaver, 2007). The ideas presented in the case study indicate that the couple was undergoing emotional torture. Human sexuality theory is based on the assumption that the bond created during sexual intercourse results in happiness in a relationship. The couples maintain their relationship as a result of the attachment created. A sense of security is created which enables the partners to stick with each other.

In the case study, Elizabeth and Robert's relationship was at the edge of collapsing due to emotional torture. The attachment level created in their relationship was affected by Elizabeth's sexual dissatisfaction. The idea presented in the attachment theory is evident in this case study. Elizabeth is unable to sustain a long-lasting relationship. Moving from one relationship to another is evident in the case study. Despite communication being essential in a relationship, it does not guarantee a healthy relationship between Elizabeth and Robert. They discuss issues related to the problem that Elizabeth is going through but they are unable to solve.

The cultural norms prohibit any sexual activities before marriage. However, the case study indicates that youths indulge in sexual intercourse when dating. They end up having multiple sexual partners before they wed. The consequences of premarital sex are evident in this case study, Elizabeth is dumped by her first boyfriend and her current relationship is undergoing problems related to sexual problems.

Based on the case study, it is correct to argue that sexual problems affect the social life of individuals. Masturbation leads to sexual dissatisfaction which is a major emotional and psychological traumatizing issue among couples. The social problems emerge from human sexuality problems as a couple's breakup when they are unable to satisfy each other sexually. The case study of Elizabeth is an example of majority of female students and young women's problems in their sexual life. Sexual problems affect both married and unmarried people. For the case of married partners, it may result in issues of divorcee which affects the lives of the children if any.
