Introduction
Communication is an important tool for every day interaction. As such significant efforts need to be in place to ensure such. As a result, there is need to understand the various forms and means of communication. Such efforts would ensure that a communicator uses both verbal and nonverbal communication to send out their messages. A communication message comprises of a sender, medium of communication, and a recipient.
Verbal Communication Styles
In order to properly and effectively communicate, it is important to acknowledge the various elements that contribute to such. Verbal communication involves the use of mediums such as face to face conversations, text messaging, television use, and much more. Such mediums make it easier for a sender to receive feedback on their messages and decode them accordingly. Significantly, I have been able to develop a number of verbal communication styles of my own and has brought tremendous success and failure to my efforts. Some act as assets when communicating while others disrupt considerable communication on our mediums.
For example, I tend to swear too much when frustrated causing multiple damage on my communication efforts. Most of the people who experience my outbursts have reportedly lost interest on matters we discuss and their significant importance. As such, use of swearing and cursing disrupts effective verbal communication in that the message intended gets corrupted and the receiver cannot decode it. Disruption in communication mediums affects collaborative understanding as it does not offer reflection and review of information entailed for discussion.
Being soft-spoken and having a natural tone of voice can be considered an asset depending on what context the verbal communication is taking place. Appropriate efforts and mandates would, therefore, serve as guidelines due to inclusion of understanding and reflection based on use of elaborate tone voice. It allows for senders and receivers in a communication medium to chose the right set of action and legislation to make concerning a particular need or developmental measure.
Nonverbal Communication Style
Nonverbal communication involves the use of hand gestures, body language, and posture with other significant environmental attributes to consolidate how information should be perceived. Having a negative body language while communicating has a significant effect on morale and rationale of reasoning during information distribution. As a result, it becomes an obstacle and a barrier for effective communication and impeding progress. Such gestures and body language can convey messages of unhappiness and readily deter any considerable impact
Misread facial expressions such as putting on a serious face even when happy can also give out mixed signals when communicating. The sender or recipient cannot understand whether such facial expressions are an asset or obstacle for communication due to mixed reactions. It is important, therefore, for communication to be carried out in an elaborate environment in which the recipients and senders are understanding each other’s needs and their responses. As such, they cannot misjudge or be misled by undetectable facial and body features. In my case, using silent treatment when upset is a considerable asset when communicating as it informs whoever is involved that no consensus would be reached and they need to understand why. It is important for such states to be in effect so that unequal judgement and presumptions are not made in line to a particular action. There is need to understand each other’s needs, interests, and rationale to effectively communicate and understand people’s opinions.
Developing a Communication Improvement Plan
When developing an action plan for communication, it is important to acknowledge the impact it might have on your significant structure. Putting into effect the need for elaborate reasoning and understanding paves why for refined attribution and significant claim. One should, therefore, understand what purpose to they intend to achieve, their audiences, what message to pass, and the channels available for their use. Such implements are necessary in a communication plan and can help boost my communication skills. Such efforts would also enable for easy distribution of communication messages and reception of feedback where necessary.
Identify purpose in my communication plan would entail understanding what needs and interests I possess and intentions they represents. Such efforts make it easier to establish an elaborate structure and ideation on what forum to address, how to address them, and what measures they bring forth to communicating. Purpose identification helps in gauging audience level and type making it easier to receive and exchange messages freely and easily. The type of audience one has influences the measures and means they use to attain such efforts. As such, incorporating their needs and thoughts together enables for equitable reasoning and thought measure.
There is also need to understand what type of message and resources are available to achieving a particular cause. The message intended for exchange should implement the moods, languages, and content that is readily understandable and justifiable. Therefore, implementing such efforts in communication helps one to gauge the outcome of their efforts and impose good social tidings. The information passed and received, therefore, depend on the use of effective means and resources to achieve importance. Keeping in mind what is of importance and what effects would unfold is a great needs assessment measure. Elaborate reasoning and understanding should, therefore, be put in place to guarantee progress and appreciation.
There is need to implement emergency strategies as means of gauging and imposing obstacle identification. Such implements make it easier for effective communication to take place and lay significant claims on efforts. Such measures assist in creating a justified action plan that imposes collective reasoning and elaboration of efforts inclined to improving social structures and actions undertaken. Evaluation becomes an important element in a communication plan as it enables for effective measures assessment and imposing new and elaborate developments. It is, therefore, essential to establish a significant claim in resource allocation and implementation. Considerable efforts and claims need to be in place to impose elaborate measures and impacts.
Conclusion
In summary, it is important to have elaborate means of receiving and disseminating responses when communicating. Significant needs and efforts should be placed in importance to understanding verbal and nonverbal communication and their impact on lives. Such developmental ideation imposes quality living and needs attainment based on social structure actions and implementations imposed for quality change and proper mandate. There is need, therefore, to lay significant claim on restrictive measures that would guarantee communication to be a success and help improve new measures to be enacted. Considerable implements should be placed on the sender, information medium, and receiver as key structures in communication. Understanding the scenario and periodic rise of interests and claims makes it easier for improving information delivery and response attainment.
