An argument is a phenomenon which explains what an individual believes whereas rhetoric persuasion is a phenomenon which tries to change someone's inbuilt opinion. One of the critical difference between the argumentative essays and persuasive essays is that argumentative essays use factual evidence in making claims while the persuasive essays base their claims on personal opinions. Rhetorical device is any language which is applied in adding the author or speaker to achieve a particular purpose and usually persuasion since the definition of rhetorical is also known as the art of persuasion. However, rhetorical device exceptionally a broad term which also includes methods or techniques for establishing emotions, beauty, spiritual implication and persuasion. The first rhetorical device is known as counterargument - This is the most important rhetorical device when it comes in writing essays. It is the response of an own personal idea. To create or to come up with the own argument perspective, one has to have required knowledge, analyze it and then come up with those counterarguments. An example of counter-argument is observed in the case of Alec who died as a result of alienating insurance services for covering the cost of insulin. As it is the current situation, insulin has become expensive to buy which is also a factor that makes it costly to insure. In the case of Alec's death, one can argue that insurance companies were to be blamed for remarkably higher charging of insurance fees which in one way or the other can drain victim (Cefalu et al., 2018). However, this can be counter-argued that it is not their wish to raise but it is through its higher cost within the market. Its enormously raised value is being developed from the manufacturers and intermediaries who use this chance to exploit victims without considering its far-reaching consequences.

The second rhetoric device being used to pass an argument about the topic of discussion is the use of Analogy. An analogy is also an essential device which thoroughly explains one concept in comparison with others. In essay form, it is being used at advanced levels, and its successful applications depend on how well the author or speaker would persuade readers or audience to accept that analog. There is an aspect of comparison on the prices of insulin t different years. In the concept of price soaring, it is being recorded that between the years 2011 - 2013, the wholesale value of the insulin increased by approximately 62%. Surprisingly, between the years 2013 to 2015, the price hiked again from the low of 33.0% to as much as 107.0% (Silver & Hyman, 2018). This statistics is a clear indication that the cost factors surrounding insulin have some other hidden agendas because the rate at which this rate is increasing is standard. "This is unbelievable, "Davidson said, citing an extremely an extremely insulin which "in 2001 had the wholesale price of $45. By the last year, the cost had skyrocketed to $ 1,447 for the same monthly supply.

The third rhetorical device which is being observed in this argument of insulin is known as a figure of speech. It is a kind of rhetoric device which departs from the literal truth, and when it deploys this literal truth, it is no longer regarded as the rhetorical device. It is being observed when there is a claim by the three companies which are Eli Lilly, Sanofi, and Novo Nordiski that there is a shortage of insulin and yet they control 99.0% of the total market of insulin. This shortage is a mysterious aspect which brings some questions about the high cost of insulin in three players which includes insurance companies, drug makers and the pharmacy benefit managers (Silver & Hyman, 2018). It is evidence that the high cost of insulin has resulted from drug makers then passed to both pharmacy benefit managers and the insurance companies. The three companies want to hide the truth about the situation of the cost of insulin yet in the real sense they know that that higher cost can be cut if the necessary strategies can be implemented.

The fourth and last rhetoric device being employed is hyperbole. Hyperbole is a rhetoric device which is being used in the essay to show the aspect of exaggeration. Throughout the given materials, it can be observed that the issue surrounding insulin and its cost is highly exaggerated even to the point of having adverse effects (Cefalu et al., 2018). Though it is one of the most highly valued components due to its medicinal value, it is being exaggerated to the point of making it subject of discussion globally.

Conclusion

In this essay, it can be seen that the aspect of differentiating argument and rhetoric persuasion has been successfully achieved. It is also evidence that use of rhetoric devices in discussion topic under discussion has supported the debate on the issue surrounding cost of insulin which can also be used as a factor of changing someone opinion on the same problem.
