Introduction

Human beings sometimes are involved in activities and behaviors that hurt others and are unacceptable in society. These acts may include murder, theft, assault, and other aggressive behaviors. The people who involve in such activities may be as a result of health disorders or other different personality factors like hate, lust, pride, or jealousy, among others. If someone is found guilty of committing these offenses, they are, in most cases, isolated in the community by being jailed so that they can undergo rehabilitation and change and would be allowed back into the society (Dressel&Farid, 2018). Others may not be allowed to be part of the community, and they will have to serve a life jail term. Treatment and counseling are also what can be done to such people. This paper explains some of the issues that need to be addressed in an assessment based on a case study of a real client in the level of supervision provided. The paper will also offer a plan of control of the offender.

In case 2, where Steven is under supervision for various offenses, which includes attempted murder, possession of illegal arms, and assault on her wife, it is essential to address the tendency of him going back to his old behavior of sexual assault with which he is still under conviction. First, since when he was young, Steven has been characterized by aggressive behaviors like assault, use of abusive language, and wetting of bed. This is a clear indication that Steven have had a personality disorder since childhood, and that has become a problem in almost the entirety of his life. Steven needs to be under a high level of supervision because there is a tendency that he will go back to his bad behaviors. It is also worse to realize that he does not regret it because of his actions.

Some of the issues that need to be addressed in the assessment are his health. Steven seems to be suffering from a personality disorder that is beyond his control. Therefore, one of the issues that are important in the assessment is his health conditions, which will require the attention of a specialist (Zeng, Ustun, et al., 2017). The other issue is Steven's rights; although he has committed several offenses, he deserves to be given a chance to see his children through a program of visits.

The Suitable plan of supervision that can be done to the offender is to monitor his behaviors from time to time while serving his jail term. He should also be health supervision to determine the level of his reform. As mentioned earlier, counseling could be necessary as part of his controls to try providing him with advises and guidelines on how to cope with his situation.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the items established in the rating scale would provide a better assessment of the offender. The level of supervision will, therefore, be determined depending on the score in the range. From the client's history, it seems that he has been in the problem for a long time and will probably need a high level of supervision. The issues that need to be addressed are the issues to do with human rights and justice. Finally, the plan of control would include health supervision, personality supervision, and the tendency of the offender going back to his bad behaviors, as explained in the paper.
