Civilizations taking place in different nations comes with so many changes that can either harm or make things right in the economy. Civilization, on the other hand, depends on the people in that particular nation with respect to cultural beliefs. There are those countries where the cultural norms are there despite civilization and actually, many of them are not for the changes that come with civilization. (Roberts & Westad, 2013) in his work stated that the worlds are not static but there are changes that take place on a daily basis. However, the author asserts that there are many communities, which are not susceptible to the changes that take place and continuously depends on their traditional beliefs. This write up compares those citizens of China, Egypt and Islam religion and how it has taken place through the years in terms of gender class and religion.
One of the factors that have affected the factors that have affected not only communities but even the places of work is the issue of gender. The issue of gender has become a world menace because there are those who believe that women are low beings and their works are only to be in the house and to take care of homes and the households. However, in some societies particularly the ones where civilization has taken its course. The gender issue in this manner has attracted so many debates where the answer to which gender is superior has never been gotten but it is assumed that women are no equals of men (Piccione, 2003). Besides, from the debates about gender, many instances are quoted where women could do things that men were unable to do.
In this connection, based on the civilization on the world, I would compare the issue of gender in Egypt and in China so that we see how whether civilization has brought about the changes to the perception of people about gender or the perception has remained to be the way it was. To start with Egypt, it gets depicted that in Africa, Egypt is one of the countries where civilization is taking place at a very high rate. This is said to be as a result of so many opportunities that are available in the country. When it comes to the issue of gender in Egypt, the Egyptian woman is said to be enjoying the same legal and economic benefits that are enjoyed by the Egyptian man. This means that there is nothing like a man is better than a woman in some instances, but they are being given the same opportunities. If it is about taking some job position, an Egyptian woman can apply for the job position as long as she has the required documents that are needed.
The gender quality has been shown in Egypt in a number of ways. The first way through which equality has been depicted is by legal rights. In Egypt, women have the liberty to manage and dispose of several properties such as privately owned properties, land and even livestock, which is not happening in other civilized nations. Secondly, in Egypt, women are having property rights. They are able to acquire and be in possession of real properties. Other rights include the right to sign contracts and the rights to bring about lawsuits.
China on the other hand still believes in the controlling nature of Men to women. They do not believe that women are equal in the community. Their functions as depicted by the Chinese author is that they take care of home, children and to take good care of her man. This portrays women as weaklings in society since there is nothing that they can do that can make them be seen as important beings. Men, on the other hand, are seen as the head and control almost everything in society (Mow et al., 2004).
When it comes to class, civilization has brought about different classes to which people belong to. For instance, if you look at various societies, many classes have been created based on the rate of civilization that one has. Because of civilization, a line has been drawn in which there are those who are highly civilized and the others with basic civilization. As a result, people find their groups to which they fit. Modern civilization is, therefore, a good thing but it is unfortunate that it has brought about the groupings of people depending on the rate of civilization. Creation of classes can be seen in both selected countries and even in different religions such as Muslims and Christianity. In Egypt and China, several societal classes have been brought about by civilization. In this connection, it can, therefore, be stated that as much as civilization is good, it has come with its problem, which is categorizing people in different classes, which causes many divisions among the people.
Religion is one of the most important aspects of society because, through religion, there are many things that occur. Religion is not forceful, but it helps one to willingly show and exercise his or her faith. From the reading on Islam provided, religion plays a very important role in ensuring that the community is carried out in a moral manner (Marshall, 2014). The Quran insists that we embrace unity, and we share the word with Jews and Christianity so that each one can get a chance to see Allah. Islamic religion to be specific promote good doings in that as much as it threatens people who indulge in bad activities to swim in hellfire, they promote good doings in society. Religion as well plays a significant role in ensuring that people obey the rules that guide the society and even the country. This can be manifested through reading the Sharia laws that are portrayed in the third document that records the history and the becoming of Muslims. Other importance of religion is such as helping us believe in the Holy Scriptures, intercalation of social virtues and promotion of social solidarity. Conclusion
Conclusively, it is important to note the rate at which religion, gender, and class affect the community. To begin with religion and gender equality in the community. In a community where eighty percent are in a different religion, you will find that the level of morality is high. In addition, the rate of criminal activities will have gone down with most people attracted to their gods. I, therefore, feel that gender equality and region promotes stability. On the other hand, the creation of classes in the community results in exploitation and overdependence.
