Divorce in early marriages is mainly attributed to early marriages. According to research, most divorced women are seen to have been married off at an early age (Al Gharaibeh, & Bromfield, 2012). Most couples who were involved in early marriages lack the experience of handling the problems they face while starting their marriage lives. Most young couples perceive marriage as a smooth sail that resembles their previous life which was characterized by less responsibility. While in real sense marriage is an infinite bond that is attributed to new and several responsibilities hence every couple should consider this before tying the knot. Another cause of divorce in UAE is financial problems (Al Gharaibeh, & Bromfield, 2012). In marriage, the expenses do not resemble the singlehood expenditures, they double when the couple is newly wedded, and with time, due to additional members in the family, these expenses are likely to be higher. Marriage is preceded by expenses that are likely to lead to immense financial problems that are likely to threaten a couple's life together (Al Gharaibeh, & Bromfield, 2012). Most males spend too much to impress their newly wedded brides. In the process, a lot of money is used, and their women get used to such type of a lifestyle. Therefore, when the favors stop, a woman feels threatened thinking that the money is channeled to other women. In UAE most families are known for asking very high bride prices that may cause financial constraints to the groom's family (AlMunajjed, 2010). The situation may ruin the newlywed couple's future as the groom is at risk of falling into big debts. The groom may also fall into depression due to loss of money hence making the family incur more expenses in treating and taking care of the groom.

Almost all divorce cases have adverse effects on the economy, the kids and the family. In a divorce occurrence, most children tend to suffer in silence due to parental neglect. Most children are faced with victimization after their parents' divorce (AlMunajjed, 2010). Such children are faced with psychological issues that may lead to poor concentration. Also, depending on the moral and ethical values of the custodian, a child may suffer physical abuse that may leave them injured hence attracting more stress. Children should be brought up in a friendly environment to enhance their growth and development not forgetting their learning process. They should, therefore, be protected from different forms of arising stress and situations that may trigger their mental health. Divorce may also affect the family especially if it was largely involved in the payment of the dowry (El-Haddad, 2003). Such a family may feel that they wasted their resources and in case the man plans to remarry, the family may fail to involve themselves in the dowry process, and it may end up stressing the groom. To the UAE economy, divorce attracts poverty and inequality. Poverty slows down an economic growth rate which is the case in UAE. In UAE, divorce affects the economy where some people fall into depression after a divorce thus making them unable to work and grow the economy.

In the olden times, marriage used to be more sincere as compared to today. The increasing rate of divorce in UAE needs to be reduced. Parents can do the major solution to increasing divorce. Parents should prevent early marriages. As seen, early marriages are the major cause for divorce in UAE; therefore, by preventing it, parents will be helping in reducing the increased rate of divorces (Bromfield, 2014). Second, married couples need to be counseled on how to solve marital issues without involving divorce as an option. Couples need to have a better understanding of each other and their issues to prevent heartbreaks that lead to divorce. In case a couple is unable to solve their differences, it is advisable to seek help from older people, or marriage counselors (Bromfield, 2014).

Conclusion

Divorce though an option for most failed marriages is never the best option since it has adverse effects on the family, the economy and most importantly on kids. It is, therefore, the role of a couple to try and solve marital issues without involving divorce. This way, the society, the family and the children will not have to get negative effects from divorce. The prevalent divorce cases in UAE should be reduced to enable children to grow in a friendly family environment with both parental love and care. Couples need to enhance their decision-making skills, and before settling on divorce, the two need to weigh the effects divorce has on them, their children and the economy. Therefore, divorce should never be the first option in case of marital issues.
