The course has been very informative and essential to my career in the finance industry and will contribute to my success in the field.

Before interacting with the software, I struggled with the analysis of the financial markets with little knowledge on the use of software and systems that increase accuracy. The course has provided me with an opportunity to interact with the software that utilizes a black interface which is not optimized for the user experience but is a notable trait of the service. Bloomberg terminal allows an individual to search publicly traded shares through various methods namely by exchange, name or topic. The function saves time and makes it easier for an individual to view data on equities. The equity menu providers the users of the software the historical pricing of the stock, business description, any debts the firm may have and expert reports and approximations on the stock (Bloomberg, L. P.). The aspect makes it easier for an individual to quickly view the data on equities, analyze it and use it to make informed decisions. The software also allows for comparison of equities through the provision of detailed data. This aspect makes it easy for one to reference results for portfolios of investments. It is, therefore, a handy tool in the financial profession.

The module provided me with information concerning the various economic indicators that are useful in decision making. The news contained in the application are informative of the performance of the economy and the changes that are likely to be experienced (Bloomberg, L. P.). The course offered me a practical experience which is applicable in real life situations and allowed me to be aware of the various economic trends and their application in business and finance.

The software is an excellent companion for persons involved in the financial markets (Bloomberg, L. P.). The module allowed me to view rates for multiple currencies with different curves for many sets and rate data for a particular currency. I was able to have a better understanding of financial markets and the use of the FX data in decision making.

The software allows one to understand and search for data on fixed income securities such as corporate debts and bonds. The data provided on fixed income includes information on the changes in the value of the security and the yield to maturities, the credit rankings and the cost of principal info is also accessible for fixed income securities which expose one to different classes of assets which are needed for generating income and reducing the effect of inflation (Bloomberg, L. P.).

Strengths and Weaknesses

The course allows one to integrate industry-leading data, research, and analysis of the management of investment funds by students (Bloomberg, L. P.). It makes the connection between theory and practice clear and thus allows one to gain the necessary skills that can be applied in real life situations involving financial analysis. However, the course has a major weakness which is the high cost that only a few persons can afford.

Application

The current trend in the business and finance field requires professionals to be competent both intellectually and technically. With the skills gained from the course, I will be better suited for the environment increasing my success in the field. I will have the ability to analyze financial markets, assess economic scenarios and interpret various economic indicators before making decisions related to my career. The tool will be useful when it comes to trading in the foreign markets, analyzing financial data and using the information in making sound investment decisions.
