I believe Jesus was not seeking acknowledgment during that moment but needed his disciples to open their spiritual eyes. Jesus works towards accomplishing his part, but it is necessary to comprehend that God cannot force himself on us. However, when we open ourselves towards his possibilities, God eagerly comes into our lives.
