The study of life science depicts that nature prefers entity to individuals. For example, the superiority of a higher animal is due to the high degree of coordination among its many systems. Similarly, the stability of ecosystems results from the abundance of species and extremely complex interspecific relationships. Aristotle described this concept that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. In fact, the same principle holds true in more contexts, including design which is as a complex system, and the symbiotic value is determined where every element added finds the right way to depend on each other and serve the overall balance. This way, the sustainability of design will be greatly improved. This concept of design implies that the environment is moving towards symbiosis.

Art and architecture phenomenon assist to explain how design styles are used to illuminate an area in practical terms. Today, construction of buildings or any architecture is done in such a way that, it creates an equitable balance between each cultural heritage of a group now and in future. It is, therefore, possible to estimate the designation styles that can be used in the future. Sustainability and balance are achieved due to changes in technology and innovations. This is what is culminated under the principle towards symbiosis in the fact that buildings are designed in the right way that results to sustainability.

The departments of environmental design in UC Berkeley College clearly illustrate how the world has a transition towards symbiosis that is, how the concept of design is used in real estate development. Ecological issues can be solved in order to create a sustainable environment for people. The concept creates awareness in the sense that young intellectuals learn how to use the land responsibly for development. For instance, the design ensures that there is smart growth in an urban area. In the same parallel, there is equality between various elements, for instance, the construction of numerous houses that serve the interest of people living in the urban area.

Another vague idea can be applied to the combination of natural medicine with practical games. For instance, a combination of Chinese herbal medicine with Klotski (a traditional Chinese intellectual game) forms an unprecedented symbiont - "growing toys". By moving units with different herbs, children can relocate one unit of their own from one corner of the device to the other, exercising their brain and learning about traditional Chinese herbs. Another example is the convergence of swans from wetland communities over winter. Tourists love observing the swans while feeding during autumn and winter season. When the season ends, that is, during springs they migrate to places where they can get trees species for food. The relationship created between tourists and the swans is what is termed as symbiosis.

Conclusion

In conclusion, art and architecture are developed to solve symbiotic design problems in order to create a sustainable environment. It brings a balance between nature and its elements hence meeting the credentials of the principle every aspect in the environment benefits from the other in a symbiotic way and whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Through symbiotic design, architectural issues can be solved to maintain an ecological environment that supports all its elements.
