An individual may deceive oneself by thinking that holidays are just for mental wellbeing. One can replenish the overall health and welfare by having a break from regular activities simply because vacations also have an impact on both physical and emotional fitness. Investing in holidays in the same destination year after year is monotonous and hence the need for people to seek new experiences that satisfy their adventurous desires. There are various reasons which make San Francisco an exciting vacation destination that offers an excellent experience for vacationers. I agree with the argument that San Francisco is indeed an exciting vacation destination with unique attractions such as the fantastic Fisherman's Wharf, the incredible Pacific Ocean, and the amazing restaurants.

The Fisherman's Wharf is known for its attractive setting along the waterfront, shops and the cafeterias whose location is the Jefferson Street where all fishing fleets dock. The wharf plays host to some museums some of which are extraordinary. There is a museum in the semblance of a medieval dungeon, the wax museum and the Ripley's Believe it or Not! Museum found in the Wharf are indeed out of the ordinary. An early stroll during sunrise along the fish alley is met by sight to behold of fishers doing what they do well. The famous San Francisco's sourdough bread is available and can be purchased at the fisherman's wharf. In addition, there is a floating museum, the USS Pampanito; a retired WWII submarine and the Pier 45. Minor modifications have been made to the museum to accommodate tourists. It is close fit inside and therefore not recommended to people having a hard time getting around tight spaces and those with claustrophobia. Fisherman's Wharf is a great place to walk around and get a feel of the city.

San Francisco is strategically situated along the Pacific Ocean which offers boating enthusiasts an exciting experience. The tourists may be involved in a variety of activities in and out of the water at the ocean. These activities include sailing, use of motorboats, viewing of classic cars, model ships, artifacts and paintings among others. Site seeing could be done in Maritime National Historical Park displaying Balclutha and Eureka, Alcatraz Island and the Golden Gate, all of which one can access via the Pacific Ocean. The Golden Gate Bridge is one of the famous bridges in the world with a 1.2-mile span. In the Alcatraz Island is a former prison used to incarcerate United States' most notorious criminals. The prison has recorded cell-house tours to enable learning as people explore the place.

The restaurants in San Francisco offer a wide range of savory and delicious meals making the dining remarkable. There are different cuisines including traditional Mandarin, Szechuan and Hunan fare, Italian, Cambodian, Laotian, Burmese, Indian, California, Russian delicacies and combinations of any of these selections. Other foodstuff choices are the walk- away crab and shrimp cocktail sold by renowned vendors in the city. The dining experience is practically out of this world.

A holiday in San Francisco is undoubtedly a host of numerous adventurous activities having many cultural attractions, several landmarks, top-notch cuisines and the scenic beauty. The view of the Pacific Ocean and the Fisherman's Wharf creates an exhilarating experience. Due to diverse cultural influence, the city has the best dining spots with various world-class delicacies.
