Introduction
Manuscript and Ephemera is a collection that consists of complements and augments of other components of a museum existing from the 18th century up to now. Ephemera used to represent items that are useful for a short period. The recreational and mercantile activities of New York City represented by this art using daily paper objects such as postcards, broadsided, music sheets, and trade cards(Beins, 2017). They also show the connection between graphic arts and the busy port. Ephemera also used to refer to augment and oddments information in our daily life, such as papers that we come across in our everyday life. In some countries such as the united states and other countries, manuscripts and ephemera used as reliable sources for studying and illustrating their history. Ephemera used to represent a variety of information; In advertising covers envelops with graphic fronts mailed are considered viable compared to unused. Old advertisements and newspapers were all text, regardless of the type of information. Therefore, some publications used run-of-the-mill wood inscribed to entice customers, which eventually became the norm.
Ephemera consists of different components in various formats, including textiles such as scarves and sashes, print materials such as pamphlets and handbills, and three-dimensional objects such as badges and promotional items. Components of the manuscript include papers of the most influential parts of New York and the associated families, documents related to their environment, ownership, and their economic activities. The object describes several aspects of life in New York, which are from entertainment, education to activism, and politics.

The art consists of several objects, and a fish represent the economic activities of the people in the region. Pure God olive oil represent the components of the fishes obtained. Enterprises involved in the fish business are both on a large scale and small scale. "Wholesale commissioner and shipper of all kinds" as used shows that fishes are traded in various places though mined in specific regions. The word "FISH" is ib bold to emphasize on the main product since there are also other products. "17 FULTON FISH MARKET, NEW YORK." Represents the number of marketing places that are common to many citizens in New York.
