The argument is more compelling in that significant voter efforts have been made to prove that there are minute fraudulent voter cases that do not warrant stringent laws. However, it would have been better for the author to document fraudulent cases, especially in Georgia, where a case study is used. Providing publicized fraudulent cases would have made the argument stronger in the sense that it would have indicated maybe lowering cases of fraud contrasting with more stringent voter identification laws. The author should also have considered why republican oriented persons were at ease with voter identification laws and not those of democratic orientation.
