The illegal militia groups also violated the rights of innocent civilians that escalated the insecurity throughout Afghanistan. United Nations Assistance program protects civilians during the war, report, and monitor violation of child rights, eliminate violation of women rights, and promote gender equality. The war deprived many children freedom and infringed their human rights such s free access to schools. Violation of human rights is a common practice in Afghanistan and attracted the interventions from the United Nations. Women form one of the primarily affected groups in Afghanistan. The United Nations intervention to protect and eliminate violation of women's rights is significant in constructing peace and building reconciliation in Afghanistan.

How Afghanistan Violated Women's Rights

The war between the government and Taliban forces in Afghanistan affected the peace and the rule of law in the country. The Taliban forces actions violated human rights and attracted worldwide attention. Women feminists created awareness about the violation of women rights in the country. The Taliban forces restricted women to their respective homes and banned them from being in the workplace (Stojek, Szymon and Jaroslav 262). Women failed to access the vital health care services required for their survival in the region. The Taliban forces denied women access to education, which is virtually human rights. Every woman has a fundamental right to live a comfortable life by earning income. Taliban forces banned all the women in Afghanistan from making a living. Freedom of movement is a fundamental human right that every person requires for survival. Afghanistan women had no privilege of movement, and the Taliban forces restricted their movements. The oppression experienced by women attracted interventions from the United Nations. Women agenda became a vital concern to the United Nations mission groups in Afghanistan. The mission group promotes gender equality and equity in the region. The mission also focused on escalating women's roles in the Afghan society and in public life.

Afghanistan violated the fundamental rights of women in the country. The government failed to protect the women from the oppression they experienced from the Taliban forces. Sexual harassment is one of the standard violations of fundamental rights women suffered in Afghanistan. The United Nations is an international agency obligated to offer assistance to the disadvantaged groups across the globe. The involvement of the United Nations was a critical step in creating a peaceful coexistence and society free from oppression. It resulted in protection of women's rights and motivated the women. It enables elimination of socioeconomic injustices required to make Afghanistan a law-abiding state and to prioritize gender equality.
