The article's primary purpose to the reader and students is to instill the ability of critical thinking skills to the examination of sources of history and providing background information that can help one withdraw conclusions that are always substantive. Readers should expand their conception of the American Revolution society, and consider a myriad of agendas including different ideas, dreams, and aspirations that came up and made the revolution a reality (Nash, 2005). The revolution until today, many people still remember the revolution in its mythical form, where it only focuses on leaders in the struggle for independence (Hollitz, 2015). Those other lesser ranked Americans who fought, protested, suffered, and sacrificed for the sake of others are left behind.

The key concept of the article is the reasons for revolution and its impact on the lives of the American people. The main aim of rebellion was to defend the liberty of the ordinary people against the government that was tyrannical (Hollitz, 2015). It was indeed a struggle between moral righteousness and treachery.

The types of conflicts that were elicited by the fight against the British rule, the extent of the rebellion against the British rule and whether the protests that were happening all over the world made the revolution, is the critical questions that the author tends to address. To some extent, all these questions that he is asking contributed and made the revolution. The author's main line of argument here is that if the Americans were to realize that there is indeed another side of the American history that they have always been aware of then, historians would be partly to blame ( Hollitz, 2015). He supports this by arguing that the accounts of historians have always acknowledged that there has always been the battle for the exercise of power which accompanied the struggle for independence from Great Britain. He assumes that this struggle appears evident as seen by the dramatic nature of the conflict which always exists between Britain and her revolting colonists and which to an extent, it also reflects own historians' times.

Conclusion

To this extent, the consequence of the author's line of reasoning is that many that many Americans who have been in the dark for a long time are going to wake up to the reality. The reality is going to catch up with them, and they will start thinking about the American Revolution in another context. They will explore what made their ancestors to revolt, what problems they faced then and how through revolution, they managed to achieve so much as a nation to the extent of becoming the world superpower. In this case and line of reasoning, the author is not biased. He is only trying to instill the importance of critical thinking to the readers so that more about their country's revolution history that was left out by early historians. Critical thinking will help in solving a range of questions that are of great importance as far as the Unknown American Revolution is concerned.
