Several numbers of political candidates uses the money to identify their supporters, building a political environment for them and to come up with several coalitions. Although social media has been keeping track of records for generating population engagement. it has been proven too challenging to sustain this.

They provide an opportunity o the voters who were initially passive participants y engaging them in open dialogues through social media. E.g. during the former president of the united states of America Barrack Obama campaigns, he came up with an idea of active participation of the people in the preparation of the election period. This is still fresh in the minds of the people of that country and they still to date try to emulate what Obama started.
Finally, social media has eased the access to current information, as the citizens can use their smartphones to look for the developments. This they can get at all the times irrespective of where they are.
