Fashion design can get described as a form of art that gets committed to the production of clothing and different embellishments such as jewelry, bags, footwear to mention but a few. Its origin dates back to 1826 where Charles Fredrick Worth is accepted to be the primary form fashioner, and he set his first design house in Paris. Haute couture, ready-to-wear and mass market are the three categories of modern fashion design. Haute couture is designed and dedicated for a specific client and is designed to fit these customers correctly. Ready-to-wear is a type of fashion that is not customarily made and is made in small quantities. Mass market fashion fills the full range of customer's demands and uses inexpensive accessories hence produce affordable fashion.

Distinctive occasions in history impacted and changed the way individuals dressed like for example the world war in the 1920s; individuals were just permitted a specific measure of fabrics therefore they were compelled to make straightforward outfits that were suitable for far. During and after World War I, for example, women's fashion evolved drastically where dresses became more casual, and hems tend to rise to the knee. They also tried to look more androgynous by wearing fewer undergarments that brought out distinctly female form. As we ushered in the 1980s, fashion evolved once more where skirts and dresses were again longer and featured straight lines. At the point when more ladies joined proficient work, matching suits trended for women. In this tenure, fashion was also profoundly influenced by music stars and movies. In the 20th century, massive production of garments got witnessed, and people began to choose clothes for themselves based on comfortability and own styles.

From 1920s-1990s, other accessories have also reported tremendous changes. For instance in the 1920s, women used draped hats, helmet styles, cloches, pokes and turbans which later changed to berets, homburgs and bonnets in the 30s,40s and 50s. For men bow and long ties have exchanged their turns. From 20s-90s color, width, fabric, and patterns have varied with the trend.

Handbags and purses, always famous for women have also not been left aside. In the 20s and 30s, handbags got mostly used as vanity bags that mostly featured a built-in mirror where one could use it to touch up make-up and hair while out. In the modern day's handbags have become a greater amount of mold and arrange with the kind of occasion, or occasion one is attending.

Short haircuts were also popular in the 60s and for those who didn't wish to cut theirs hid it in hats and turbans. After this time, Women then began to dye or perm their hair and wigs became more popular and for the men, bowl cuts. Shaggy and bobs haircuts were later made popular by celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox on the TV shows.

Personal Experience With Fashion Design

I enjoy for instance when I dress people, and they turn to look fantastic and happy and also by making someone's life better by what I do. There is this lady that I dressed, and she had some figure complications, but through my designs, she felt more comfortable in the attire that I made her, and this made me very proud. Also other times I may have a fantastic design, but it fails to sell, but this doesn't affect me that much since I use it as a stepping stone to better myself.

The background check of fashion and design has enabled me to be more creative in my designs and to understand my audience lifestyle and customer needs. As a fashion designer, I have realized that fashion keeps on changing from time to time and people are more pleased with unique designs. Monotony in fashion is not a thing people welcome. Therefore, I need to be more mindful of the form advertise necessities and be interested in learning new things. As a designer also I must be willing to put my ideas on paper first by either hand-drawn sketches or with computer-aided programs to process quality products. In connection to that, I need to have excellent communication skills to convince people to buy my products.

If I were to teach fashion and design in the future, I would make sure I bring up creative and digital designers in the sense that I will do away with all manual work and introduce sketch pads. When good content gets well matched with the design, even the most complex documents seem appealing, credible and becomes easy to read.
