I believe time management skill is crucial both in one's personal life and career. Indeed, good time management allows one to accomplish more tasks in a relatively shorter time, which in turn hands that person more time. Ideally with more time, one can focus better since personal stress reduces; therefore, one can take advantage of the learning opportunities to improve personal and career success.
I choose time management as an important skill particularly for this assessment because time is a limited resource and affects everyone irrespective of education level or skills. Generally, the main reason time management is crucial at workplaces is that it is essentially limited in supply. Each day has 24 hours and understanding that one's time is limited can help him, or her understand its value. Similarly, time management is the key to success in any business. In this case, time can allow one to take control of their life and therefore plan according to their schedule rather than following the flow of others. As one accomplish more with better time control, important business leaders notice and therefore would always contact them to accomplish various tasks; increasing their exposure in line for the advancement opportunities. In addition, good time management reinforces self-discipline which eventually reduces the need for procrastination. It is a valuable skill that would eventually impact other areas in one's life hence allows them to achieve unexpected goals.
The Pickle theory uses a time management model to help one prioritise their work. According to the theory which uses the pickle jar as a replica of one's life teacher important ways of prioritising one's time and makes them aware of the fact that distractions must be avoided at all cost as they often lead to mismanagement of time.

Time management is an important skill that takes time to perfect; therefore one should strive to improve on a daily basis. As a student, I'm always time conservative and tend to complete my objective in time. This is always helpful as I always have extra time to do other important activities that reinforce my learning. However, this skill is not always a walk in the park, and I believe I have certain areas that still need improvement. For instance, even though I complete my daily objectives in time, procrastination still gets the better of me thereby limiting the time I save for other activities and for rest. Similarly, time allocation for different tasks has always been a problem since I tend to allocate more time for simple tasks that can be handled in a flash.
To be able to deal with my shortcomings, I have developed essential habits that such as minimising distractions, asking a friend to check up on me and rephrasing my internal dialogue to help me with procrastination. Being a student of this course has also helped me in understanding the importance of time allocation.
The feedback from my peers and teachers after taking measure in improving my time management skills is that I'm now a better time manager than before in terms of timely delivery as well as time allocation and others would like to learn more from me. They also believe that I'm a better team player.
Can you identify any contradictions from your analysis above? For example, is there a match between how you see yourself and how others see you, or not?
The contradiction I find in the above analysis is that I'm a better team player and a better time scheduler. I have had problems in the past taking part in group activities because I've always had a feeling that these joint activities are often time-consuming. I also believe that I've not yet perfected my time allocating abilities because I still find some tasks overlapping beyond the allocated time.

Time management skills are crucial in one's academic achievements as well as his or her future endeavours. I believe tie management skills will assist me in becoming and more productive employee. Being a more productive employee will provide me with more time to improve on my weaknesses in terms of work quality and timely delivery. It will also enable myself to gain more respect from my colleagues as well as the management team as it indicates that I respect targets and deadlines. Moreover, by being consistent in time delivery can set me apart from others thereby leading the way for promotional opportunities.

At an individual level, to be able to have a meaningful and lifelong career, one needs to understand the important role of teamwork and be ready to dedicate his or her own time in collaborating with others in achieving crucial but challenging targets. This is why teamwork is essential in the challenging business environment.
I believe teamwork is critical in anyone's career and I choose it for this assessment particularly because it allows individuals to get access to new ideas. Fresh ideas are the backbone to the success of any business in this competitive world. Organisations and businesses thrive well with a diverse team in which every member can contribute individual ideas. These unique perspectives and ideas often benefit individuals and businesses overall. Similarly, teamwork is essential because it is supportive in nature. Ideally, with teamwork, members are able to complete their tasks jointly within the given deadline and with high quality. In this case, the role of the team is to pick up the pierces whenever one of them falls behind. Moreover, teamwork builds morale since one task is handled jointly thereby reducing strain on a single individual.
Tuckman's teamwork theory uses four stages of team development to make users understand that teams evolve and that problems are always encountered as teams develop from forming through to performing, however, the end result during the performing stage is enormous since performances are delivered through people working effectively together.

Man has always been a social animal who works at close union with immediate ones be it in school teams, class groups, in sports teams, in social congregations and at workplaces. In my future endeavours, I believe that teamwork would be crucial especially at the workplace in solving tasks while we synergise our individual goals and skills. It will also be critical in creating open-mindedness and the adventure of finding new solutions on a daily basis.

I believe that public speaking is one of the most crucial skills one could develop in his or her life. Indeed, the skill in public speaking is so essential that it could that it could be the deciding factor in the relationships one have with friends or family as well as the deciding factor in one's career development, public expression and business growth.
The public speaking technique is particularly important for this assessment because it improves one's confidence not just as a student but also as a career individual. In most cases, public speaking always improves one's confidence dramatically in that it reinforces the idea that one's worth and self-esteem which are crucial in speaking careers as well as general career development are often gained by the perceptions of how we think others view and think about us. Additionally, public speaking helps people become more comfortable around others. Constantly engaging in public speaking enables one to increase his or her skills at speaking even at an individual level with someone they just met. When you are with someone as opposed to a group, it can be difficult to start a conversation, thereby creating awkward moments when if you know what to converse to one another. Moreover, public speaking is the best way to get your message across to a large audience. Until today, there has never been a better way to pass the message across to a large audience. With the skill in public speaking, one is able to reach each and every person and relay the important message without others complaining of poor delivery.
Dialogic theory of public speaking opposes the view of the majority that public speaking is more of monologue where the speaker usually stands and speak or deliver a message to the audience who quietly listen. The theory proposes that all forms of communication even public speaking should be viewed as dialogue. For this reason, public speaking skill is vital in improving one's speaking abilities both in public and a personal level.
