Introduction

Exposure to technology or technology affects a person's social and cognitive developmental skills. Whenever the teenagers get glued into social media, they are affected psychologically as they lack the social skills. The internet is among the technological advancements which people appreciate. The social media is associated with adverse effects in an individual's life as they get access to every content on the social media platforms. For example, social media is associated with Facebook depression, stalking, anxiety, and cyberbullying. Facebook depression is experienced whenever a teenager feels inferior concerning their social media friends. Therefore, due to the diverse effects facilitated by social media, this paper will focus on an annotated bibliography concerning the negative impacts of social media on young teens/ adults.
