It the paper at hand, there is the rhetorical analysis of the music entitled ''blank space'' by Taylor Swift. In such a case, there is the presentation of various aspects from the analyses, such as how the music video appeals to the viewers and listeners, how it reflects and shape culture, as well as how the music, as well as why it matters. Starting with the elements of the music video that appeals the viewers and listeners, it turns out that there si the se of color varieties as the music video progresses. In such a case, the video was shot n different landscspes, such as different rooms including the sitting rooms, bed rooms, and verandas, all with odifferent colors that appeals to the eeys f the viewers and ake then stay glued in watching the video. Also, the way such different colorerd areas get displalyed make also attracts the oewers, and make them stay glued in watching as differrtn anvronmnets where the performners sng the sogs in the video. Such colors have been synergized such that they seamlessly mix into one another, tis provdg another appeal to the viewers.. the clothing pattern of the clothers, as well as their different colors, of the performenrs, have also been well designed such that they augur well with the nature ofte environment where theky song in, hence also ceratng some appeals to the eyes ofnthe vewrs, that will then be tempted to watch the musi vedoe til it ends. There is the use of csuch cllrs as wite, brown, purple, mread, and back, that atrahct te eyes of the viewrs, and are easily noticeanle in the screen.
Additionally, there is the use of slow motion pictures that serve to demonstrate the words being sung in the song of the music video, hence making the viewers to get appealed as they well internalize the message being passed across. Ann example is at the beginning of the music video, where the man being admired by the singer appears form an old model of the car. In such a scenario, the singer utters the words that serve to congratulate their meeting with the man from where he had been. There is, thus, the creation of visual impression and understanding that make the viewers to relate well what they hear the singer uttering as well as what they see being portrayed in the video. Such a technique continues throughout the performance of the music video, and because it brings about visual appeal from the viewers, it makes them view it till its end. The motion pictures in the video are not replaced swiftly, hence also giving the viewers an opportunity to relate them well, in a considerable amount of tem, with what is being heard sung.
In the music video, there is also the use of tonal variation used by the singer. She combines high, low, and moderate tones in accordance with the nature of message being sung in the line performed. Such tonal variation appeals to the ears of the viewers, such that they love to hear how the message of the song is being relayed, and in the process get to understand it and carry the message in the end. The body language of the performers in the video also serves to indicate the depth of message, such that the viewers will get to relate with them and holistically understand the message being passed across to them. It can be established that the min message of the music video is that of love, such that the singer has admired a man and a lot of things ring at the back of her mine, on whether their relationship once established will last or break prematurely. However, she hopes that since they are still young, they should aim at making it last, unlike her previous relationships that ended in doom. Thus, as the lyrics of the song are being performed, the two potential lovers ac in such a way that they reflect what is being sung, using their body languages, in a manner that makes the viewers to get the message well, hence appealing them in the process. The musical instrumentations are also well played, such that they bind seamlessly with the song, hence soothing when heard by the viewers who get appealed in the process.
There is also an aspect of culture being portrayed in the music video.
