Introduction

The three components, to date, remain section of its definition and have widely been used even though not in a systematic and standardized manner (Rigby, 2014). Furthermore, there has been discussions about more components that can be used to describe the term suicide, including the intent of the victim to cause harm and his or her the report.
However, other descriptions lead to some new concepts. For instance, just like the previous definitions, the three main elements of perceived or observed mental disorder, chronic depression, and drug addiction are incorporated. Nevertheless, the description is different in three other definitions of suicide is commonly known. First, the definition needs mental disorders for it to be unwanted. This assists in removing tumble and rough play among the potential victims. Second suicide also can incorporate an act of depression if it is viewed as having a high chance of being repeated including future aggression threats. This inclusion aims to enhance timely intervention at the first signal of such behaviors and not waiting for several incidents of aggression to happen. Third, the description of violence and teen dating leads to more suicide, (Gladden, 2014), thus making the topic significant to study.
A meta-analysis and review of suicide using various measurement approaches showed that 34% of people between 15-34 years, report incidences of death. Nevertheless, prevalence drastically ranges for every category are highlighted as shown below, for suicide perpetration, the range was 7% to 46 % (Cook 2010). Also, the inconsistent measurement approaches can also lead to difficulty in the evaluation of the problem through public surveillance initiatives.
