In my organization social media is used to boost the productivity of an organization, improve delivery and discovery of information and allow employees to make professional connections. Active use of social media has helped increase efficiency in work through effective communication (Chaganti & Tetali,2017) Also, taking mental breaks from work is essential as it helps break the boredom. These work pauses help reduce boredom. In information delivery and discovery, social media acts as a medium of getting feedback and learning new ways. My company does not wait for a professional assistant to be sent to the organization to solve an issue instead project information can be transmitted from one place to another via video calls or applications for sharing information.

Through social media, we can make professional connections as an organization. Through social media sites such as LinkedIn, employees tend to connect with other people who are essential to the growth of the company. The connections with other people from different organizations create relationships that lead to opportunities that are important to the organization's growth. Also, as a business company, social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter have widely increased product marketing. The products can reach many countries across the globe through e-commerce features.

The research methodology used in the workshop involves people who are affected by a technology directly (Orngreen & Levinsen, 2017). In interviews, respondents may be people who are affected by the technology depending on the accuracy of information needed. The difference that the two have is that in using workshop three methodologies, factors identified are not obvious to the respondent or the researcher while by use of interview, the topics being interviewed are known to the researcher and in other cases, the respondent always has information about the topics.

The strengths of the workshop as a practice is that the focus is on finding out the relationship between its process such as 'the use social media' and outcome such as 'what has social media caused?'. This further implies that workshops are authentic as a means since it is a method that incorporates frameworks of workshops into situations of the future (Orngreen & Levinsen, 201). The strengths that interview methodology has is that it is a way of conducting in-depth investigations on issues. Also through interviews, we can obtain significant information such as personal feelings. A major weakness that interviewing method has is that the respondents often interpret the interviews differently.

Conclusion

Research shows that many organizations have embraced the use of social media in the workplace. Social media can make and destroy. Applying the use of social media in relaying information, creating important networks and for efficiency helps in improving the overall productivity at the workplace. However, research conducted through the two different methodologies shows that social media can be used wrongly and instead of connecting people within an organization, it creates a dangerous rift that could lead to an organization's downfall.
