Introduction
Role instruction ethic, researchers made promises to all subjects for them to agree to participate in the experiment voluntarily. They had offers of a diet mill and $15 at the end. However, the researchers had a hidden agenda in the Research that they did not disclose during the agreement. The prison sub-lieutenant channeled the information to both classified groups, but duties were not explicitly detailed. In the uniform issue, basic ethics are omitted through the chaining of the experimental groups and discrimination of the prisoner group by not allowing essential sanitation gadgets in their cells.
The introduction and administrative procedures are flaws in the experiment. The handling of the subject is not proper. For instance, they are transported in car rear and stripped; the entire arrest procedure is a negative implication to the prisoners. In data recording, every method violates some human relation rights. The audio recording is an ethical issue whereby some extra information is into the record without subjects' consent. Videotapes are made daily in every situation, even in personal interactions within the cells.
Reasons Why Incidences are Ethical Problems
The promises made to the prisoners are not clear and engaging; the prisoners' views are not considered; therefore, the agreement is conditional with dictations from the researcher. Besides, the primary aim of the experiment was not disclosed to the subjects, which means they participated in some activities without consent, and this is a violation of the research ethic law of genuine performances, deception is experienced. For the uniform case, it is an ethical case because the uniform is the basis of prisoner humiliation, and the chains cause discomfort even at sleep. However, prisoners should be contained; they have rights to proper treatment too.
Prisoners are treated like animals by rear transportation in the cars; this is meant to stimulate their emotions, but in an excessive way of human torture- they deserve better welfare. Stripping and mug identification cards in the arrest procedure are assuming the health care of the prisoners, stripping and canning causes physical and dignity demotions. Secret audio recording is done behind the back of the prisoners.
Application of Current APA Law
If the experiment could be set overhead today, it would not be carried out based on the current APA regulations. According to the APA section, 8.02 such tests must be certified, and aim noted. Part 8.03 would exclude the Research for not conducting consent audio and video records. However, the observation method used in the study would be approved by the same section. Deception is part of the Research and, therefore, would lead to viability. APA section 8.04 would nullify the Research. More so, under the Ethical law of human care and use of humans in Research requires the observation of human rights.
The prison research followed no ethics in reporting data, according to the APA reporting of results, the study in did fabricate the data as an illusion to the general public in the trial to hide the real aim of the Research. In essence, the new APA law section 8.10 forbids such reports. In the case of using prisoners, the human relation codes, and ethics in APA law, section 3.01 would cancel the use of chains and stripping f prisoners as this is a form of unfairness and discrimination activity. Section 3.03 dictates other harassment, like allowing some prisoners to be superior to others.
