Most decisions on business ties are based on several factors, and the primary consideration is its effect on the country's economy. Business ties between China and the US contributed positively to both countries.US sold its parts to ZTE, and also its agricultural products and were able to raise revenue for the country thus leading to development. Its projects also expanded. Also, China got parts they needed in one of their significant projects from the US. Cutting these ties would cause a substantial drawback for the two countries.

Also, cutting ties causes poor relations between countries which once traded with each other. When Trump withdrew his penalty, the good relations with these two countries were maintained. This way, they can do business together for a longer time and even tighten their ties and thus benefit from each other.

The US has agricultural projects, and China has invested in machinery. Also, US has parts that China needs to produce its products. China, on the other hand, does not have enough agricultural products. This way, both Countries equally required creating business ties which they did. This way, China buys agricultural products from the US, together with the parts they need. On the other hand, US get to save jobs for the citizens.

Business relations between China and US helped raise revenue for both countries until issues came up, where US suppliers broke their agreement with ZTE by illegally shipping us goods into Iran, North Korea. Breaking business agreements costs both parties negatively in a big way. According to Andersen, Grude & Haug, (2009) "In the world today, a project influences many people. For instance: a project may have consequences for employees, trade unions, creditors, and clients."

After Trump announced their decision to cut trade ties with China, China's largest telecom manufacturers announced that they were shutting down since there were essential parts that US-supplied those were no longer supplied. After a discussion, they decided to continue business dealings with China to save jobs. He made this decision despite its impact on the country's credibility.

Nevertheless, at this point, making this decision was essential to save many people, from both China and US from losing their jobs. Also, the two countries maintained good business ties and thus saving their projects. Such decisions are accompanied by confrontations and disagreements since people's opinions differ. For instance, the choice of maintaining trade ties with China made many US officials frustrated and surprised that he could reverse his decision since they thought ZTE's penalty was final.

In conclusion, project management decisions are crucial to an organization. This is because they can either affect the organization negatively or positively, depending on how the decisions are made. Although maintaining credibility in a country is essential, one has to look at the bigger picture. This is by weighing the effects that come along with the decision that is reached at. It's important to make a decision that will not lead to the failure of the project.
