Why Pick the Career Choices?
My first career choice was law, back when I was still enrolled in the Ethiopian Education System. By then, my brother influence played a significant role in the Law career choice and since joining I have 4-years' experience in the field. After moving to the U.S nine-months ago I came to realize that nursing was a passion and at the same time an interest. Due to these attributes, I switched my profession from Law to Nursing, and currently, I am attending a 2-year associated degree in nursing to become a registered nurse. Within a short period of attending the course, I came to realize that I like helping those in need and trying to initiate a difference in peoples' lives.
Moreover, I chose to nurse since it will enable me to spend time with patients and help them by providing medical care to their illnesses. Next, it will expose to different healthcare working environments. Moreover, the course takes two years and will offer me an opportunity to pursue my degree while working. Lastly, nursing has room for specialized and various career opportunities; hence, it is demanding and rewarding. Additionally, to succeed in this field, I will opt to fuse theoretical and practical nursing courses by relying on community-based voluntary work as well as engage my lecturers on the discussion on success in the field. Moreover, I will prepare myself for all challenges and ensure I have a mentor to walk me through times of difficulty in pursuing the course. When asked on how to approach the assignment, it will be ideal for the student to note his abilities in truth and sincerity since these attributes will determine his/her determination. Moreover, the student will need to know why he/she chose the career choice to come up with an ideal and honest answer since the plan aids in constructing the foundation of one's career and profession.
