Deterministic models can be black box while a stochastic model can always be generated by the first principle in the event that the underlying principles are random. On the other hand, a deterministic model can be generally developed by a conceptual understanding of the given process. a deterministic process is, therefore, a process where the all the material properties of the system is known because non of them are random and the applied load on these systems are also deterministic. A stochastic model, however, is the situation whereby the random properties ie there is random variable having a uniform distribution or a normal distribution in the application of factors such as standard deviation. The applied load on this particular system is variable.
