Since Donald Trump was elected, he has conducted politics in a different way. After winning the United States' elections, Donald Trump spoke to the president of the Taiwan Republic, Tsai Ing-wen and by so doing, he neglected almost forty years of a carefully crafted bipartisan policy that was aimed at acknowledging China and other nations as actors in international relations. Also, Trump views the international relations and politics the way he viewed his campaign in elections. His administration and the surrounding team is a large group that has no political background and can be considered non-professionals. His agendas and styles of communicating decisions are very different. He uses Twitter as a primary channel to communicate hard facts and his emotions and in this way, it can be termed as a non-traditional political approach. He uses this strategy to underline his narrative to the global stage politically and also due to his background as a popular businessman and a TV star as a way of conducting political business. Additionally, he does things differently from his predecessors and it can be clearly seen in his different approach to the main positions in international relations. Also, one of the main aims of the American policy is to support the state of Israel but Donald Trump and the Israeli President were unable to hide their animosity for their political agendas. This incident was shown by the United States abstaining from security council votes that allowed the United Nations to pass a resolution of ending the Israeli settlements in the territories of Palestinian. As it appeared, Trump was in favor of Israel in continuing its aggressive settlement policies which means the end of a two-nation solution.
Also, Trump differs his opinions in nuclear weaponry and has declared nuclear weapons one of his security cornerstones. He has expressed a desire in enlarging the United States nuclear arsenal. Donald Trump is also intending to alter the relations of China and Russia with America. The two states have been antagonists of the interest of America and if the United States was to enhance its relations with China, a change of balance in international relations would disfavor Russia. Trump is also seen denying or neglecting any Russian influence on any election result while he exchanges pleasantries with Vladimir Putin, the Russian President.
While the international politics is changing undoubtedly under the reign of president Donald Trump, the questions are whether his administration will be a shift in the radical break or priority balance with the past. There is no subtle or no subtle re-balancing between the self-interest of the United States and the interests that she has in an international political order. For Trump, the international political order is not a concern. Nevertheless, the realism refutation was the fact that nations signed up to agreements or treaties and laws that were never in their self-interest, for example, the law of international humanitarian and the treaties of human rights. Also, international organizations were funded by America that looked to others' interests worldwide rather than its own citizens. For example, America currently funds the UNHCR to the tune of about one point five billion dollars, the European Union at about three hundred and forty million dollars and has been the greatest refugee facilitator on re-settlement taking over fifty thousand refugees through the program of UNHCR in 2015.
Additionally, under the rulings of Donald Trump, the realism refutation is no longer available. It looks as if America might review its financial commitments to international agencies such as the United Nations and its resettlement program for the refugees is likely to be withdrawn. As for international agreements and treaties, the rulings of Donald Trump exposes them for what they always were, unenforceable. However, these actions depict that America might walk away from any agreement or treaty that is considered not to be in the American citizens' interests. In this case, the international organizations' consequences might be disastrous and although Norway might be willing to offer a helping hand, the nation is looking at an age where the organizations wither away and the international cooperation on the global challenges wither away with them. Nonetheless, with strategic trampling over, self-interest and the delicate new growth of the international law being destroyed, America has had some responsibility and respect for the framework and has made attempts in protecting them so that they can grow further.
Currently, Donald Trump has no issues with the Russian government because the nation carries no threat to America in terms of jobs and manufacturing. China is the enemy as people or realists have always predicted. America might enter into a war with China and the citizens should learn that Trump rules nothing out. Russia brings America to NATO. However, its government has always been angry with the European partners regarding their military commitment to NATO and has asked why the state pays so much yet NATO pays little for their defense. Nevertheless, for Trump the security of Europe is their own problem and the nation should not pay any cent. He does not care about Europe and suggests that each country should stand on their own and that America is also busy bullying her neighbors such as Mexico to be involved. In this case, Trump's ruling depicts a radical break but not a shift in balance as none of the old rules have been applied. Also, it can be considered that liberal internationalism is dead and realism has returned for the Americans.
Additionally, the victory of Donald Trump represents a hard decision and knock for the bedrock of liberalism for the West. The supporters and autocrats of different illiberal democracy strands such as Erdogan and Putin might feel energized and vindicated, whereby the European Union have to work harder to defeat the liberal democratic values. Also, the top change of America might transform the pollical international conventions. Charismatic, personalized and populist forms will be boosted to the analytical detriment fact-based represented style by President Obama and Chancellor Angela Merkel. internationally, the American administration led by president Trump might learn more towards deals that are bilateral based on a rationale that is quid pro quo (transnationalism) than towards multilateralism. In certain crises cases, it may bring a temporary relief. For instance, it might be difficult for Trump to inconceivably quickly reach an agreement and understanding with president Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, on how to forwardly move in Syria. But on regime fields that are counterproductive such as trade, sustainability, environment and for the system of the United Nations as a whole.
Nevertheless, Trump has made changes that are significant to America's role in the international community. He removed America from the nuclear deal of Iran and held discussions on proposing and creating a new deal with North Korea. He also removed the American embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and also from the human rights council of the United Nations to name but a few. In these cases, Trump sides with Putin and praises Kim Jong-un, criticizing the Prime minister of Canada, Trudeau and the European Union. Partnerships, negotiations, deals, covenants, and all the international relations have been given new meaning by the Trump administration. Additionally, his administration seems keen on the domestication of the international affairs which is making the decisions of foreign policy based on the country's interest.
Moreover, moving the embassy of United States to Jerusalem appeases the conservatives evangelical base who helped Trump to be elected. The tariffs that are newly imposed on aluminum and steel were incorporated to protect the manufacturing industry of the United States while withdrawing from COP21 climate agreement of Paris was a nod towards American coal, natural gas, and petroleum groups. Trump's relationship with Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime minister, explains his stance of hardline against Iran, despite softening on North Korea. the administration of Trump is clearly making significant international decisions of policy to assist garner political support from the conservative donors, Christians, manufacturers, the industry of the fossil fuel et cetera and domesticating what should be considered to be international. However, people cannot ascertain that Trump is making feckless decisions as he is prioritizing America in his mind, but what is not best for the state. American often say that in setting aside the long-term international competitiveness and national security to answer the lobbies that are powerful at home, Trump loyalty to the lobbies undercut the significance of international institutions the people have worked so hard to build. However, this action is not meant to be the diatribe of anti-Trump. The citizens should have in mind that the international policy once answered to their domestic interests. America First and isolationism as depicted by Trump is not new to the Americans but the order of the post-world war II created a way for a new international engagement paradigm where the global stage was led by America.
Additionally, under Donald Trump, he runs the international relations alone and is always acting on the lobby's loyalty behalf. In these cases, Americans propose a full court press and encouraging the institutions that they worked hard in building look beyond their own national interests. Citizens can maintain the place of America in a world that is built on cooperation and relationships, striving towards peace. In achieving these goals, public diplomacy might help such that the regional leaders like business leaders, mayors, governors to name but a few can fill the role. Also, the desire for cities to establish themselves globally is increasing especially now that America has found herself isolated from the international community. People are fighting to save the nation and through this, the leaders of congressional should step up and speak to the partnerships that America has with the globe by highlighting their alliances with Mexico and Canada. They should to the international institutions' importance such as the United Nations and that of adhering to and joining multilateral agreements with their allies.
Conclusion
Nonetheless, Trump has made decisions with Korea, Mexico, Canada, and China to name but a few. When Trump met with Moon Jae In at the United Nations, the president of South Korea hailed his counterpart for America to help in guiding nuclear talks to a point where the decision of North Korea in relinquishing its nuclear program was officialized to a degree that no nation would reverse. Moon tried persuading Trump to solve the problem as it was likely to cause conflict between countries but Trump declined. Trump and Moon also met with Kim Jing Un, the president of North Korea, for a second summit but Jing Un showed no interest in helping solve the problem. He coincides with Trump and appreciates his work because of the misunderstanding the two nations have politically. However, between the heaping praising sessions with Donald Trump across town, the leader of South Korea armed up to the pressure on America during the council on foreign relations. Hours after describing and discussing the relation of Kim to denuclearize as irreversible, Moon stated that denuclearization was contingent on America and other nations making concessions that were corresponding along the way. According to Moon, he wanted America to end hostile relations in the international community and for the regime of North Korea to be guarant...
