Garner’s research company points out that there will be increased spending on IT devices by companies all over the world. The expense will increase to reach a figure of $3.9 Trillion. The main factors contributing to an increase in spending on IT equipment is the stabilization of the global economy and the political environment (Gartner, 2020). Another factor contributing to the rise of global spending on IT equipment is the uncertainties experienced in businesses. Furthermore, spending on Software stands out to be among the fastest-growing market. The increase in Software sales is about 10.5, with most of the companies opting to shift to Software as a service rather than an enterprise tool (Gartner, 2020). Additionally, current data shows that companies and businesses are allocating a lot of budgets to spend on cloud-enabled services. Therefore, in the new future, it is likely that the cloud services will take a big chunk of the IT budget.

The cloud services provide better service life flexibility, agility, and proper security, among others, to save costs. However, the strengthening of the United States dollar has seen a reduction in spending towards the IT equipment. The U.S. is among the biggest producer of IT equipment globally; hence the strengthening of the dollar makes the commodity expensive to buy (Gartner, 2020). A country like Japan expects to cut down on their expenditure of phones from the U.S. Furthermore, the U.K. is going cut down on its purchase of phones due to increase prices. Furthermore, an observation made shows that making countries are slowly moving to china and Asia for the sake of getting items at a lower price.

Garner usually generates such kind of data by doing extensive primary and secondary research on sales, and they do a thorough analysis to create the report. The report generated shows a varied purchase of IT equipment. The report helps the client to understand the market better.

Consequently, the implementation of IT security takes precedence of innovation. Some of the organizations opted not to implement and test specific changes for the excellent protection of the IT infrastructure of the Company. The main concern of why companies are becoming hesitant in implanting innovation is because the IT department is finding it difficult to cope with new changes (Young, n.d). Even in the current state, IT professionals are admitting that it is becoming harder to implement security because of the growing complexities if the IT infrastructure. The IT decision-makers who responded to the interview said, the need for information security is primarily getting driven by the need to secure big data to achieve data privacy.

Tips for Getting the Business to Stop Hating IT

Over the last few years, the IT department managed to prove its worth by holding a virtual meeting that saw of 6500 workers of Ciena Company attend. The Company had tried to keep the gathering of all the staff members, but it failed (Zetlin, 2020). However, the IT department managed to changes from a back-office problem solver to a team that deliver essential solutions that enable the business to succeed. The IT department worked for almost three years before seeing the actualization of the event (Zetlin, 2020). Similarly, Ciena also tried for some time before they could see everybody together at once. The activities of the meaning exposed the weaknesses of the IT professionals that make people hate them. The IT staff discovered they needed to improve their communication and interpersonal skills. Practical interpersonal and communication skills enable staff to engage in collaboration activates.

Furthermore, communication will also help the IT staff to have the ability to communicate technical knowledge in a simple way that can be understood by anyone. An assessment of the IT professional behavior exposed their anti-social behaviors which do not align well with other people. Moreover, as the IT professional continue training the non-technical staff on the use of the online platform, they discovered the need to see themselves as part of the business. Hence, the IT staff needed to provide essential support services on which other functions can ride on. All in all, the realization that technology services have changed to be part of a business model goes along well in helping the IT staff to integrate with other non-technical individuals.
