Introduction
God is more powerful with the ability to do many things which in nature it supersedes the understanding of human beings. God does things which are consistent with his nature, effortlessly. This power associated with God is evident from all great thing he did, and he is still doing to our lives every day. For example, to the children of Israel, it is not normal or the usual thing to make a way from the vast flowing water, but with his powers, he made way for the children of Israel to cross The Red Sea, Exodus 14 verse 15 to 30. The children of Israel saw the great power in which God had used to enable them to defeat the Egyptians. It is with his power that he was able to know things before it occurs. Calling prophet Jeremiah before he was born, Jeremiah 1 verse 4, He also knew that one of His disciples Judas Iscariot would betray him, Luke 22 verse 21, and further peter would deny Him three times before the cock crows Luke 22 verse 31. Through his son Jesus Christ, God exercised much power during Lazarus resurrection. It is not something usual nor something which every human being can do but with God's power He commanded Lazarus to come out of the tomb with a loud voice, and inevitably Lazarus came back to life, John 11 verse 43 to 44. Also when Jesus was walking on water, superseding the power of gravity and being able to walk on water, John 6 verse 19. The power over death, when Jesus Christ resurrected on the third day, Luke 24 verse 1 to 12.
During creation, God's power was manifested, though his commands and things could occur, Genesis 1 verses 3 to 31 also the book of Isaiah 44 verses 24 which illustrates how God created the earth on his own and all things including human beings. Job 9 verse 4-10, this verse speaks of God's power with whom no one can stand against him since he is capable of moving mountains and with this human beings cannot understand the great things he does and the miracles with no end. Every promise God says happens, the promise to return to take the chosen nation is undoubted with the scenarios which he associated his return, and it is evident enough that his promise of coming back again will surely come to pass.
It is with God's power that Sarah had a son Isaack through even though she was old Genesis 21 verse 1 to 8, and the healing power when the woman who bled for 12 years touched Jesus cloak, Luke 8 verse 46.
The doctrine of God's omnipotence is quite essential for Christians, for they should always adore God, Ephesians 1 verse 18 to 20, for Christians to witness God's power from great things he hath done which some was brought out through Jesus Christ. The promise of resurrection to all Christians who have died when God' return back to the earth. Essentially it is difficult to believe this in nature considering all things that occur when a person dies, but what is difficult from God with whom he is the maker and creator, therefore, Christians believe on this promise through the power that God exercise when Lazarus resurrected and Jesus himself. The Christians also keep up with until the end through the protection by the power of God through the faith of salvation, 1st Peter 1 verse 5.
The Omniscient God
God is all- knowing, there is nothing that occurs even in secret or hidden places that God does not know, and above all, he knows everything before it occurs in that essence not escaping his notice. Everything that we are learning now as human beings, God has known all of them for eternity The understanding of God is so infinite since his wisdom cannot be measured, Psalms 147 verse 5. Psalms 139 verse 1 to 6, the complete knowledge and care of God which is so deep beyond our understanding, since he examines us all and he knows our thoughts as well as everything about us, hence nothing worth hiding in the eyes of God. God knew that Adam and Eve would eat the forbidden fruit though he could not prevent it since he was in the process of saving mankind. He also knew that Cain had Killed Abel in the field even though no human eye says it, Genesis 4 verse 10. Joshua 7 verse 11, God knew that Achan was the one who stole the wedge of gold and later hid it in the earth. In Genesis 18 verse 12, after God promised Abraham a son, Sarah Abraham's wife laughed to herself about the news, God, therefore, asked Abraham why did Sara laughed, is anything hard for the Lord? Signifying that God Knew what Sarah did in her tent even though she was all alone.
God himself spoke of last days events, which surely it has come to pass, for example, the emergence of false prophets, natural calamities and so forth, this evidence shows that God is all knowing of what will happen in future time. God further knew about David's adultery with Bethsheba, the murder he committed and lying, and he sent Nathan unto him, 2nd Samuel 7 verse 1 to 17. The doctrine of God's Omniscience brings confidence unto Christians that God knows all our troubles and trials we are undergoing, Psalms 56 verse 8. This also implies that God knows all our needs, Mathew 6 verse 8.
The qualities of God that are omnipotent and Omniscience works together in enlightening the real nature of God, of possessing the power of knowing all the undertakings which occur are of secret and superseding the human understanding. Also giving us the background to know who God is and our relationship with him mainly through the appreciation of his creation and power over his creations and nature. It is with this attributes that God retains his faithfulness, holiness, all loving and more so his ability to forgive us our sins despite all our bad traits and inequities, Psalm 5 verse 5. 2nd Timothy 3 verse 10 to 11, God urging Christians to keep his love and faith. To understand more about God powers it important to illustrate his attributes which expound it more. The declaration of his holiness is quite immense. When He appeared to Moses in the Holy Mountain and spoke to him to remove his shoes since where he was standing in was a holy place, Exodus 3 verses 5 to 6. The only thing that separate human beings with God is holiness whereby God is believed to be sacred while human beings to be sinners in nature (Pickover, 2015, Tetlow, et al. 2008).
