In most cases, people do not move outside their provinces and only use resources that are found within their territories China is a perfect example that practices regionalism.

On the other hand, globalism is a range of political values that allows the whole world to influence any countries policies about resources production and economic activities among others. It opens up the world to share and interact freely. Localism, regionalism, and globalism have theories that explore each context in the old setting and the new structures.

Theories of Globalization, Regionalism and Transnational Studies

Theories have been formulated to better explain the concepts of globalization, regionalism and transnational studies while some represent the old school of thought others mirrors the contemporary set up of these three concepts. To begin with is the world system theory of globalization which was developed due to the failure of the modernization theory. World system theory states that trade is asymmetrical and that there are poor and rich states where the developing nations depend on the rich ones. It assumes that the government and international institutions can never make a system of a country better. Secondly, there is the neorealism /neoliberal institutionalism theory which is divided into two. Realism explains that states are central actors in the politics of the world. In response to neoliberal realism, the argument was formulated, and it states that a more concrete system is necessary where nations are interdependent and interconnected, and security is not the only concern as states interact in various issues. The world polity theory then followed it, and it states that societies are becoming synonymous in the manner of governance and policies. It explores a world whose structures are similar. In this case, states modify their structures to become identical to those of the world. In response to the world polity theory, the world culture theory was developed, and it assumes that the world society is a complex structure with a set of relations among different units. People are becoming conscious of the new global reality and finding ways of living together in one system. The recent theories of regionalism include; the liberal institutionalism which states that global institutions and organizations can increase and bring cooperation between states. However, it advocates that states should be treated independently and cannot be forced into a hierarchy. There is also the regional security complex theory which explores how security is categorized in geographically shaped regions. It explains that security matters do not go far and threats are likely to occur within an area. There is a complex interdependence of security within a region and not between regions.

Adoption, Adaptation, and Integration of Media Forms and Practices in the Asia-Pacific Region

The passage refers to the acceptance of anew innovation or product. The Asia Pacific is one of the areas that embraced technology in various forms. It adopted different types of media from diverse regions globally. For instance, it got some forms from North America and Europe. It took the media forms into some parts of Pacific Asia, and it gradually spread to the places within the continent. There were the innovators, the early adopters and then the majority of the people embraced it. After it was adopted people had to adapt to the new technology, and they had to learn how to use the different forms of media. Changing meant acceptance and learning how to use the various types of media the Asia Pacific embraced and rapidly learned how the various types of media worked. For instance, the use of social media as a tool for communication became trendy, and it was even used for protests such as anti-Hallyu movement. The Asian Pacific region then integrated the press forms an official means of communication, and it became part of the daily lives it was accepted and officially became part of the Asian lifestyle it became an essential tool for communication. For instance, people could share ideas using these diverse forms of media. The government could use it to give information to its people and also get news from the rest of the world.

Response

After reading the emergence of anti -Hallyu movement, I realize that media can be a potent tool for demonstrating and starting fights or even war. It is the fastest means of communication that inciters can use against those they want to fight against. The Koreans and Chinese lived at peace just after the cold war era, and there is no doubt that they adopted and leaned each other's cultures. Trade flourished between the two regions as they imported and exported products. The Chinese got most of their products from Korea and as time went by the Hallyu culture of Korea was adopted. The stable relationship and supportive policy led to the rapid spread and adoption of the Korean culture. However, as time went by the Chinese online community was formed to fight against the Korean culture which was now dominating China. Some of the cultures that were adopted include the television series, music, drama among others. Due to the threat on the dominance of the Korean culture, the Chinese government had to sponsor programs that call for anti-Hallyu movement; it is important to note that the change is different from that of western civilization because of this it region while western civilization is global. It is a question of regionalism and globalism. It is paramount to note that cultures go through processes before they are accepted in a given territory. For instance, they go through these important steps of adoption, then adaption and finally integration which means full acceptance.
