After watching President Obama's Message for America's Students, I have been able to explore key concepts that have been highlighted in this particular speech. President Obama prepares the students for the speech in an exceptional way, for instance, giving them a short story of his experience in his education while he was still young. I am made to understand that every speech requires proper mental preparation for the audience to stay keen throughout. In his speech, he also makes everyone feel comfortable with both the new and old students in school. There are difficulties faced through educational life, but students are expected to be focused and responsible. Students may not feel okay with waking up early and going to school, but they should be in a position to adjust. President Obama's speech focuses on education in which he states that he has done various speeches about education for a long time based on responsibility for teachers, parents, government, and students.

The speech explores the responsibilities of teachers to encourage scholars and drive them to study. The government is also responsible for setting high standards to support principals and teachers. Parents are also expected to be responsible for keeping student's track and ensuring that they do their homework and restrict them from watching TV always. A nation can have the best teachers, the most responsible government and parents yet without fulfilling their responsibilities towards their kinds (The Obama White House 02:21- 18:50). The students on the other hand are highly urged to pay attention to the adults, teachers, adults and grandparents in order to succeed. The students are also expected to work hard in school and remain responsible in whatever they do. In this particular speech, students are regarded to have something they can show, and it's upon them to discover it through the help of education. Every student has a good thing they can offer if only they become responsible.

Students can easily discover the areas they are talented in, for instance, in writing books, articles, newspapers, and this can only be achieved through writing during the English class. Other students are good at inventing or innovating, which creates opportunities to come up with the next vaccine or new phone gadgets. To discover such things, one must work on a science project during science classes (Hamann et al. 2-12). Other students might become prominent leaders in societies such as senators or even mayor, and they can only manage this by joining debate teams or student government. For people to do well in life, they are highly expected to acquire quality education. May it be a police officer, lawyer, architect, or a doctor, the education qualifications profoundly matter.

Good careers require good education; therefore, students avoid dropping out of school in any way possible. E speech one can learn that education does not only make the future of a student bright, but also it is important to the future of a nation. Students can acquire knowledge and skills to solve problems (Jenkins et al. 1-6). They also acquire critical skills that enable them to fight poverty discrimination and crimes in the society. The student's skills Intellect and talents are developed through opportunities for studies.

I get to understand that there several challenges that students experience during their education period, and this does not guarantee or give them excuses for dropping out of school or failure to complete their assignments. Most successful people in the whole world have a challenging past, but this did not hinder them from becoming successful (Wolf et al. 3-33). Students are encouraged to work hard and remain focused on their education despite the challenges they are going through to become successful later in life. No one person is born a failure, but every person becomes who they ought to be in life through making choices, especially in education.

The speech is interesting in displaying great knowledge, skills that students are required to have. President Obama involved students in his speech to know whether they understood what he was talking about, and they asked questions in a very critical way. One gets to understand that communication is an essential tool in speech. This particular speech contains great communication skills, for instance, the eloquence. It is easier for the students to understand everything that is contained in the speech (Carnegie 132). Every main point is accompanied by great examples which enable students to understand more. The students have been allowed to express their feelings; therefore, speeches should have space for the audience to express their feelings. Simple language is used, which enables all the students to understand everything and can apply it in their education. Communication plays an important role in public speaking by improving speaking skills, confidence, and makes people more comfortable. Public speaking has a lot of benefits such as fine-tuning nonverbal and verbal skills, development of critical thinking skills, and improvement of confidence among people giving speeches.
